A Blessing is a Blessing!!!
When a product is a blessing, it is a blessing - and this, if you have cats susceptible to respiratory issues, is a true blessing! One of my Five (5) "Babies", Glenn, when I adopted him going on 2 years ago, was near-death with Pneumonia (3 weeks of IV fluids, force feeding, 3 antibiotics and Lysine powder!). Luckily, he survived, but he has an immunity issue that makes him he extremely prone to respiratory infections. I used the prescribed Lysine powder for the first 6 months after he got better and decided to stop using it because he was starting to get "persnickety" about eating his food with it mixed in. Within TWO weeks, he was sick again, sneezing and wheezing. I went back to the powder, but soon had to dissolve it in water and syringe-inject it into his mouth at every meal. NOT FUN! Glenn was beginning to hate me and being strongly against long-term antibiotic use and resistance, I was fearing that I was going to have a cat who either hated me or I had to fight every single day.About 6 months ago, after stopping forcing the dissolved powder into his mouth (my arms can take only so many scratches!), he was sick again. I decided to do some research and found Duralactin. Reading up on it, I kept seeing reviews stating that cats love the taste and having Lysine assist in his recovery every single time since his adoption, WITHOUT antibiotics, I decided to try it. THE ABSOLUTE BEST THING I EVER COULD HAVE DONE!At night, when I do my bedtime routine, Glenn comes running into the bathroom and bugs me until I dial him a dose. I put it down towards him and he "paws" the injector to his mouth and all I have to do is shoot it in! See the picture!!! He thinks it is a treat! Since purchasing, he has not been sick again. Without the fighting him to take the Lysine, my mind is a lot more at ease. Per my Vet, the Lysine boosts his immunity and keeps him healthy, so as long as this is made, I will purchase it.Although, it is getting a little expensive for me . . .because his brother, Buggsie, now wants it everyday, too!!!!!!!!! They really do think it is a treat!!!!! *smiling*.

Excellent Product that Gives Your Fur Baby Their Quality of Life Back
After losing one of our beloved boys to feline cancer back in June, we opened up our hearts again and took a chance and adopted a rough around the edges 2yr old cat named Ozzy in September. It was a tough start but now 9 months later, it is been the most rewarding experience in the world and I would highly recommend anybody adopting a shelter cat! Anyway Ozzy our live bug came with a bunch of problems so he requires a lot of maintenance monthly which we are more than happy to do. One big issue that he has is severe allergies. It would be just my luck that I adopt an asthmatic cat and I too am asthmatic! Our vet recommended this product. After reading all the reviews I decided it was worth taking a chance. I have to tell you that within a couple of days of taking this we noticed a significant difference and as he has not had any issues since! His distressed breathing is gone in his nose, has runny eyes are gone and just overall a tremendous difference. It's like the little guy has his life back and can enjoy being a playful kitten again. I would definitely recommend it it can't hurt either way.

PENDING PRODUCT CLARIFICATION
Confused - Unable to Review Appropriately -I purchased this to have on hand due to a variety of felines, feral, stray & babies of them- ages: 19 yrs - 2 yrs.Sold & Ship by Amazon -so no option to ask questions in ad. Received before expected, sealed in clear plastic bag & able to read all wording on the injector which displayed a "DOM" of 02/2020 (date of manufacture) but unable to find a exp date or "use by" date & have no idea how long I can "assume" the contents can last after opening- even if refrigerated. The company that manufactures (?) the product is listed but not available to contact. The item is non-returnable - I want to find the expected (even if approx) date this can last after opening & I don't currently need to use so prefer not to access until required. I will try to go to Amazon customer service as last resort. Once I do (or don't) get this issue resolved, I will return to edit this review, either way.

easy to dispense, but there's not much in the tube
I'm a little bit torn on this product. There are things I definitely like about it, but also some things that I really don't care for. As background, I have five cats. One of them is a new(ish) kitten and he had eye herpes (several of my other cats already had this condition). The stress of having a new guy around was enough to cause flare-ups in some of my other cats. I have to deal with this in different ways, depending on the cat. I have two who will eat treats with lysine in them, and that is the easiest administration method. But one, I am pretty much stuck with either pills or paste. I've gone for the paste (i.e., this product here). What I like:*The cat seems to enjoy the flavor of this more than some competing products, so he doesn't fight me quite so much*It is easy to get the correct dose, and to get it out (this can be tricky, meanwhile, with squeeze tubes)What I don't like:*There simply aren't very many doses in this syringe; used twice a day, it's not even going to last me a week (I always need to treat much longer than a week to be sure the virus flare-up is under control)Anyway, if you are having a lot of trouble getting lysine into your cat, this could be an option. Just be prepared to buy a handful of these instead of just one. The Viralys gel that you are probably being recommended by Amazon on the product page for this paste has a lot more doses in the bottle (so it's an economical choice in the long run) but can be a pain to dispense since there is no mechanism for consistent dosing. If your cat will eat the Vetri-Lysine treats, that is probably the easiest option of all. Please note: this does include some flavors including dairy- and chicken-based ingredients, so if your cat has inflammatory bowel disease or a dietary intolerance, do not use this product.
