Have used for over 2 years. Works as described and helps to hold heat in pool. No issues with filter or chemicals.

This does seem to help with evaporation but I have to put it in the pool a few times a week for it to stay effective. I'm not sure if I'll keep using it, might just go back to solar blanket.

This product definitely works. It replaced our bubble cover it makes keeping your pool warmer and reducing evaporation so easy. I applied it on a cool morning when our pool was steaming off and you could watch the steaming go away instantly that proved to me that it reduced the evaporation immediately.

I was skeptical of this product but after watching some Youtube videos and google searches, I figured I would give it a shot. We have an above ground intext pool 16x8 (I believe). I followed the directions and added the recommended amount and checked the pool each day for a week. Our weather was approximately 80-90 degrees that week with lows of 70 degrees at night. The pool was freezing. So I added more thinking maybe I didnt use enough, still pool was freezing. The kids didnt even want to be in it. I put the cover back on in the morning of one day and the kids swam in the pool that afternoon and the temp was just right. So I'm going to have to say liquid solar blanlets do not work, at least not for us.

We have been losing about 1/8 of an inch of water per day from our pool before trying the Tropical Fish Liquid Solar Blanket. The temperature also improved by at least 3° in the first week or two. And we have stopped losing such a large amount of water every week! I had tried using an actual solar cover. And it reeked havoc on our pool. It did not allow the skimmer to work properly and it was a pain to remove every few days to actually clean up the pool by hand and let the skimmer run.This product does the job very well and also helps with evaporation. In addition, I haven’t had to add water to the pool in over a month since I started using this. And it does not affect the cleanliness or increase the amount of labor required that a solar cover causes. I highly recommend this product!

And I measure scientifically water loss and heat retention. Don't buy this if you can help it. It is not wax based like the link I put here.

This is helpful in keeping the heat from escaping on those fall evenings

We have used this product for about 3 weeks now every night and we lose very little heat at night and the evaporation is down.Once we put it in we don’t break the surface of the water so the molecules stick together very well.

I used this in my 18' round pool. During the day it's hard to tell if it works but I swim after dark and I can see very little to no steam rising until I get in and splash about. Then the steam is very visible. Once I stop moving and the pool surface becomes calm again, almost instantly the steam drops off by about +/- 90%. No steam/evaporation, means more heat retention . I will purchase again next spring.

We are trying this solar liquid, the science makes sense. It is easy to use and will have a better idea of function when we see more sun:)

The shipping was very fast but the item turned clear after leaving it outside for 2 days not sure it still works. Really afraid to use it in pool since the kids are playing in water.

Product is OK but doesn't seem to last very long. It's very thin in the bottle, smells like isopropyl alcohol, I assume that's the carrier for whatever the active ingredients are that actually provide the effect. Yes it does stop/slow the evaporation, but doesn't seem to last more than a few days. The stuff I normally buy at the local pool store is much thicker in the bottle and easily lasts for weeks before having to add more to the pool. And YES I do follow the directions and only add the proper amount, and I don't backwash my filter more than 1-2 times per month.The other problem is that the packaging (silly bottle) is just useless. Instructions say to add 1/4 bottle (no "real" measurement like mL or oz) but there's no indication of a) how much is in the bottle or even b) where 1/4 or 1/2 is. It appears like the seller has taken a sharpee and made a few lines on the bottle but no indication what they mean and no way to tell if it's accurate at all. Dumb packaging for sure.Bottom line... it's an OK product, certainly better than nothing and does pretty much what it says it does, notwithstanding it's lasting power. But combined with the ridiculous packaging, I don't think I'll purchase this again. Other stuff works better in my experience.
