Update: I had to return the cane as the aluminum end, which is very sharp, broke through the rubber tip the second time I used the seat. I don't think this product is designed to be used on grass, only on hard surfaces such as cement or flooring. Even then the sharpness of the aluminum under the rubber tip it might eventually break through. I am very disappointed as it worked just as I had hoped the first time I used it."The cane came on time. I used it yesterday and it worked well. We belong to a couples putting club at a par 3 putting course and the holes get backed up. It really helped alleviate my aching back while waiting my turn in line at each hole. I was able to use it in the grass on uneven surfaces as long as I made sure the terrain wasn't too sloped. I am pleased."

I returned this item after one hour of use. The metal tube punched through the rubber tip because the manufacturer is using the wrong kind of tip. Amazon sells the correct tip for this type of tube under the name "Walker and Cane Tips with Metal Inserts". The metal inserts keep a hollow metal tube from punching through the rubber. I'm sure these tips were a few cents less costly to the manufacturer but the choice to save a few cents results in a product that fails quickly in normal use. Also, at 6' 1" tall, the cane part of this was about four inches too short for me. It will probably be fine for someone who is shorter. The grip on the handle is not high quality and tends to slide on the curved shaft making it unstable for someone who really needs a cane for stability. In spite of these problems, I gave it two stars instead of one because it was reasonably well built for the price.

used it for the Womans March and it was terrific and sturdy and strong all day long!

For me, it's great! For the couple of times I've used it, it has served its purpose. It's easy to walk with and easy to pull out for sitting. Just be careful sitting down and getting it bearing in mind it's a small seat on a tripod.

This walking stick is more lightweight than others I have purchased, which is nice. It's sturdy enough to sit on. The only problem I have had is that the end cover wore through very quickly. I replaced the cover with a thicker cover and it has worked well.

I'm not so old that I need one of these to sit in while waiting in line at the bank. I actually bought it for deer hunting. I hook it on my back pack and it allows me to sit quietly, and in a position where I can still effectively draw my bow.

Used this in Paris and so glad I bought it. Besides being a seat it can be a little table. Very lightweight. Stores in the overhead of the plane easily. Be sure you practice walking with it before you use it due to the three legs that fold up.

you have to be careful when you sit down so it won't tip but I love it and I have had massive positive comments every ,single time I use it in public, worth twice what I paid for it, what a bargain.
