Just like the old one.
Received my Waterpik Shower Massage promptly yesterday. And eventhough I only used it once I can assure you that it's the exact same one I owned and loved over 20 years ago. Still made as sturdy as I remembered. I highly recommend this product. I love it when companies continue to make products as good as they were in the past and that don't make changes to the product unless it is to improve it. This one didn't need any improvements as far as I am concerned. Thanks

It's very close to the original; but not completely perfect.
I still own one of the actual original Teledyne Waterpick showerheads. I wanted to have a backup in case mine dies. This one is a good replica; but you can tell it is a modern re-creation of the original - it is not a faithful exact reproduction.It's more light-weight and flimsy feeling; which is fine. But when it's on the "inner" setting, it seems like the collar ring didn't quite turn all the way - the flow is somewhat reduced, and you hear the noise as the water flow is partially restricted inside.Other than that minor nit-pick, it works well, and pretty close to the original.

If you need water pressure.
I replaced my grandmother's showerhead several months ago with another type of waterpik (ecofriendly version)...this was not a grandmother friendly version of a shower sprayer. No water pressure and buttons that were complicated and hard to push and a hose that was not flexible...SO I BOUGHT THIS ORIGINAL WATERPIK ON AMAZON. I removed the pressure control as instructed and my grandmother now gets a great shower! Easy, GOOD PRESSURE, flexible hose. A very Grandmother friendly shower sprayer. If you need something that works to get you clean. This is a simple, easy to use water sprayer. Very happy with the purchase.

Disappointed
Highly disappointing.I had one of these when I was growing up - I'm 34 now and have had multiple shower heads over the years- but I always remembered this one.I recently went home and my mom has the same one from when I was little in the spare bbahroom.I found it here on amazon - bought it and installed it. So disappointing. The hose is very stiff - not really that big of a deal outside of it being so stiff that it twists off the hook up. Water went everywhere! this is despite using heavy duty plumbers tape.Overall, I would not recommend tthis shower head. If you've had one in the past- it's not the same quality!

Ditch the hose and flow restrictor
Not the same as the Cheaper chorme 6 setting one. This one is far superior and IS the original shower massage from teledyne waterpik. I did remove one star because of the cheap plastic hose and wall connector that came with it. I threw those away and used a metal hose from a different waterpik shower head I had. With this upgrade and removing the flow restrictor it’s now perfect.

Waterpik SM 3UC Original 5-Mode Massage Handheld Shower
The shower head itself is good if you remove the water restrictor and filter. The shower head holder and the hose are horrible. Thank goodness I saved my other shower head holder and hose from my other Waterpik. The old shower head holder was spread further apart and angled where the shower head handle would go into it about halfway and would hold it steady. The new shower head holder doesn't grip the shower head firmly and it will move all over the place. You will give your entire bathroom a shower! The hose is cheaply made and so stiff that it should be immediately placed in the trash can and go to your local hardware store to try to find a flexible hose to fit. This company makes a pretty good shower head but doesn't seem to understand that if they would take a few cents more and make a holder and hose that works, they would have more customers and definitely more repeat customers. I contacted the company and they stated that customers overwhelmingly love the new holder and hose. Obviously they don't read the reviews of their product on this website and others that sell the Waterpik. Something else that they need to realize it that for every customer that complains, there are thousands that don't take the time to write reviews. Until they make these improvements, avoid this product at all costs!
