Tavy Tile Puck Marble Level& Lippage Detector

We had an issue with our new home from our builder. The tile installation was of poor quality. There were lips and gaps everywhere. We had to escalate to the Contractor's Board for resolution. The Board sent an inspector and he used this exact tool to quickly spot the installation issues. Do yourself a favor and buy this if you're either buying a new home or inspecting the results of a tile installer.

This is my second Tavy Tile Leveling Puck - first one is worn out (10 years old). This tile leveling puck works great in leveling the tile itself, as well as, keeping all the adjoining tile edges and corners level. Once I get the tile level I run the puck across the adjoining tiles to ensure the edges and corners are level with each other. Inexpensive, easy to use and does a great job keeping tiles level.

I'm re-tiling my bathroom floor, and this thing is great! It alerts me to the slightest lippage, even lippage I can't really feel with my fingers. Also quickly shows if a tile is out of level in any direction. I debated getting this, since other tools I already have could get the job done, but I consider it money well-spent. It's so much faster and handier. I wouldn't tile a floor without one.Combine with a longer level to make sure your floor is still running level and true over longer distances. Bowing of larger tiles (12x24) can throw off this level, but moving it to different parts of the tile will quickly alert you to any such issue.I love this thing!

It arrived on time, and I haven't used it until next week. Look forward to gliding the puck across the tiles to hear the click if it's out of level. I think this will be a great time saver.

Handy for setting tiles. Helps keep your tiles level. Simple to use. Slide back and forth across tile joints, if you get a click, set the tile a little deeper in the mortar by tapping the tile with a rubber mallet. My floor turned out great!

I get a lot of grief from my co workers for using this.... but they leave kickersFor the most part the same effect can be achieved using the spacer bucket or even a coffee mug.Personally I like the built in level for starters.A word of warning, it is possible to chip brittle tile using this so be mindful.

I laid some tile for the first time and I really loved using this tile puck to help keep the tiles level and flat. I'm a bit of a perfectionist, and this made the job a lot easier to keep things consistent. The hardest thing about using it is remembering to use it on every tile - and in all directions. Will definitely use this on any future tile jobs I have.
