Love this vest on my dog, got the red one, the dog is dark brown. After using it for a few weeks, i have 3 problems with it. First the stitching is weak amd will slowly rip while the dog runs around with a vest a rolls on the ground. Second, the dry zippers slowly collect hair and are becoming less and less sticky. Lastly the straps have no padding at all to them so any slight movement keeps chafing my dog's belly raw. Wish they made the whole thing from different materials with some padding. Definitely not worth more then $40.

Will add photos later, Sizing worked good glad I got a XL enough room for growth but still snug for an 1yo 120lb 1yo bandogg. The dog is comfortable no problems with movement and hes a little more responsive to commands when its on like time to get to work. Started with only 2 weight packs on shoulders using 3/8 steel slingshot ammo for precise weight/weather/swimming. Started on short walks this week and building to fetch next week then most likely add more weight in 2 weeks to be 100% safe no need to risk injury. Dont be an a*&and load up your dog with weight right away...... MAKE SURE YOUR DOG IS 1 YO AT LEAST AND START SLOW.. ITS NOT WORTH HURTING YOUR DOG.

I purchased this item two months ago. It didn't fit my dog and was bulky and seemed like it would chafe. So I returned it - still haven't rec'd my refund. So I am out $110.00 and don't even have the vest. Customer service has been non-existent.

I originally was using the Leerburg weighted vest, but I found it to be a little bulky and an awkward fit on my dog. Also, the vest kept shifting around, making it uncomfortable for my dog as well as wearing down the fur on her coat. It just always felt like the vest was moving around on her, getting in the way of her walking.On a friend’s recommendation, I bought the XDog vest, and after a few uses, I can say it’s definitely a lot better than the Leerburg. I love that the vest uses either sand or B.B. pellets, which makes the vest less bulky. It also allows you to control how much weight you want to put in, down to the gram. Plus, the pellets mold to my dog’s body, making it more comfortable for her. And the combination of Velcro straps and buckles allows me to get a much better fit—there’s been no shifting whatsoever.I have only two minor negatives: one, it’s a little bit of a pain to put on since you have to get the right fit each time. However, it’s a small price to pay to get a much better fit. Second, I wonder how well the Velcro will hold up over time once it gets dirty and used. I hope that the Velcro stickiness won’t be an issue later.Other than those two minor things, I am super happy with the XDog vest—it has really helped my dog calm down on walks, and it definitely helps tire her out. I wasn’t sure if it would be worth the money to get another vest, but it definitely was!

This vest is one of best things thats happened for our male Dobe. He's just about 2 years of age and of course has an endless supply of energy. We take him for walks and runs in it and it keeps him better controlled and exhausts him much easier. Putting it on in the house with company keeps his energy better controlled and when he Is on walks with it there isn't as much of a concern from other pedestrians seeing our Dobe in a working vest. The fit is beautiful (it looks awesome I might add), it doesn't rub him uncomfortably like some other vests might, the straps come up plenty far enough to keep his valuables safe and sound lol. He can run comfortably in it which many other vests cannot do at all. I love that you can add and take away the weight and I usually end up placing my phone in the middle pockets for him to carry for me on runs/walks. Tank enjoys it so much now as soon as he sees the thing he knows its exercise time and immediately sits to have it placed around him. The concern others state about it not being too breathable is kind of a given considering its a weighted working vest that you fill with sand at your own discretion. As long as its taken off immediately following an exercise theres not a problem. You could even place some small freezer packs in the middle pockets on longer runs if a concern to keep them cool. I would recommend this item to all breeds, but especially the working/high energy. The seller fyi is awesome, checks in to follow up on the purchase and how its working with your dog, which not most do.

I measured to verify the size requirements for my dog and ordered the large. Unfortunately it's way too small and now I'm stuck, I didn't see returns are not possible. I guess my advice would be size-up if you're not sure so you don't waste $119.99 like I did. If anyone needs a size Large and bought an X-Large, let me know and we can swap!

Riley's just over a year old and weights 70+lbs, we got a mediumB and it seems to fit well, with adjustment for future growth; upon a complete inspections we found NO visible defects and that it's well built with quality materials. As our pup gets older, we plan to use it primarily for fitness purposes and we feel it will serve this purpose when the time comes to add weight. Missing from the product description here, but including with packaging, are all the details needed, as far as a schedule for break in usage, and when/how much weight to add for your specific pet...!!! Shipping was via USPS from Texas and came as promised...!!!

My dogs love their X dog vests. Its easy to put on and take off. Very well made and durable. My dogs run thru the woods, stream and everything in between, it holds up wonderfully. Not to mention my dogs physical fitness improves daily with use of the vest. I have both large and medium sizes. For ref, red is medium on 53lb German Shepherd. Black and yellow is large on a 75lb German Shepherd.

Updated review.This vest isn't nearly as good quality as I had originally thought, my dog used it a decent amount and it's already fraying at all the D rings.And since I've purchased it I've actually educated myself a little bit more on dog conditioning, and found that these vests - according to people more professional than myself - are garbage when it comes to training your dog.As is, today I put it on her to try out the drag bag... and due to the design of the vest it actually puts all the pull force across their lower neck... instead of the shoulders like a proper harness (like the ones you see sled dogs wear, with the cross back). Needless to say it was choking my dog the whole time she tried to pull it... not a very safe thing considering.Customer service also isn't that great. I ordered the "Milk & Honey" vest on pre-order, and in the time it took to ship I emailed and told them I needed to cancel due to financial reasons at the time... they still charged me full price months later when it shipped, and then charged me again a few months before it did.The concept of the vest is neat, and I honestly was fooled at the beginning too - but I've seen the CEO act like a complete jerk to various people that question the product, and I've further educated myself by people who take dog health seriously, versus a bunch of furmoms that don't know the difference.The straps on the vests can cut into your dog, as they aren't padded.I would personally recommend looking at other options and reading up on dog weight training before spending the insane amount these vests cost.(Also the broken hook on the dorsal D-ring is from their parachute which snapped the very first use. It's plastic, and if you happen to live in the cold it becomes very brittle).

The vest is well made. Heavy construction that should stand up to the rigors of an active dog. Unfortunately, our dog would not allow us to put it on her, due to her anxiety level. If the vest had buckles instead of a feed through that might make it so it could be adjusted ahead of time, then just clipped together. Although we could not return through Amazon, by calling the owner in Texas, he was very helpful and we have come to an agreement that is very satisfactory! Great vest, Great company!!

Great for training. She was attacked two years ago while on leash, and we’ve had issues ever since with dog encounters while on leash. We saw a change around other dogs almost immediately. Not the fastest runner, so probably won’t try the parachute, but definitely interested in trying the drag bags.

I was so excited to get my baby a vest! It shipped the day I ordered it and even with having to go through customs, it arrived in less than 2 weeks. When I opened the package, everything was exactly as I expected and I was definitely satisfied. Great quality, great fit, great customer service after the fact too! Looking very forward to the future with my bullies and their training

Fits perfectly, extremely durable, and washes off easily! We use it every time we go for a run, walk, swim, etc! It’s amazing addition to any exercise!
