What age chicks can eat Manna Pro Medicated Chick Starter Crumbles?

These crumbles are formulated specifically for chicks from day one through 8 weeks of age. They provide complete nutrition to support healthy growth during the most critical early stages of life.

What does “medicated” mean in this chick starter?

This feed contains amprolium, a medication that helps prevent coccidiosis, a common and potentially deadly intestinal disease in young chicks. It supports a healthier start by protecting your flock during their most vulnerable weeks.

Is it safe to feed this to all types of poultry chicks?

Manna Pro Medicated Chick Starter is designed for chicken chicks only. It is not recommended for ducklings, turkey poults, or other species, as the medication may not be appropriate for their unique needs.

Do I need to offer any additional supplements while using this feed?

No additional supplements are needed. This medicated chick starter is a complete feed, meaning it’s formulated to provide all the essential nutrients your chicks need—just ensure they have constant access to clean, fresh water.

Can I switch to a non-medicated feed later on?

Yes! Around 8 weeks of age, chicks can be gradually transitioned to a grower feed or non-medicated starter depending on your flock’s health and needs. Always consult with a poultry expert or vet if you’re unsure when to make the switch.
