Good, but not 1000 Lumens
I had this light recommended to me by a fellow security guard, who had it recommended to him from a police officer, so I went and bought it.Received it in the mail the other day I'm thoroughly happy with this 5-mode light. Very rugged design and doesn't feel like it'll break if you drop it. The belt/pocket clip however is very flimsy. The light is extremely bright but I'll be honest, it's not leaps and bounds bright than the LED Coleman flashlight I had or my Maglite XL50. It's bright, but not 1000 lumen's bright. Best guesstimate is around 500. However, it is undoubtedly worth the price.Another thing I do like about it is unlike my Maglite and Coleman flashlight, which had a more narrow beam, this light throws out a much wider beam. This is a poor comparison but it would be like comparing a penny to a quarter, with the WF502b being the quarter. At a distance of 50 yards where my Maglite/Coleman may light up a portion of a small tree, this light lights up the whole tree.Word of caution though. While I haven't personally experienced this since it's still new to me, I have been warned that I needed to make sure that this light gets turned off when not in use and to make sure that it doesn't inadvertently come on without my being aware, as leaving this light on for an extended period of time can cause the device to get extremely hot -- hot enough to melt gun holsters and nearly set clothing on fire.

This Flashlight Is Amazing!
My dear husband just bought a $170 Surefire tactical flashlight that blew my socks off and I said - Oooh I need one of those! (Christmas is just around the corner!) So when browsing to see what other lights are out there I found this one. Mixed reviews but the price was right - it gives off a stunningly bright light with a solid unscattered concentrated beam (or not so bright if you slightly depress the switch to change it) equal to my hudband's SureFIre. I have no idea how long the rechargeable battery will last or how durable the light will be in the future, but out of the box, it was everything and more than I expected. The other reviewers spoke about the five settings (depress the switch lightly to sequence through them) and about the cellophane wrap on the battery that MUST be removed in order to charge it and use it in the flashlight.

You get MORE than you pay for, for a change...
This flashlight set only has two negatives which I'll cover first.1. It is certainly not a 1000 Lumen flashlight2. There are no instructions included for the flashlight or the charger. You don't get what is advertised as far as brightness, but it is a solid 400-500 Lumen light. This is something the seller should change in their description, or Amazon should insist it be changed. Having no instructions for the flashlight isn't too bad, it's a pretty nice UI and easy to figure out. However, with no instructions for the charger you have no idea how long it should take to charge the batteries because you have no idea what rate they are being charged at or if it will automatically shut off or just change LED color when it's finished. Both are pretty important to know. So being left in the dark on that (pun intended) takes one star from my review...Other than those negatives, I've bought quite a few MUCH more expensive lights and this light has as good fit and finish as many of those lights. It has a nice deep bezel to protect the lens should it be dropped. The button seems to function well as allows you to "momentary" or "half click" through the different modes. Once you find the mode you like, you turn off the light with a full click and it will turn back on in that mode with a full click. Nice and simple, I wish some of my more expensive lights had this interface. The strobe is strong and at a high rate, I like it better than some of the slower rate strobes I have. The strobe makes a good defensive weapon to blind and disorientate an attacker. The three constant light modes are useful levels in my opinion.I can't yet speak on durability, heat buildup during use, or run time for this yet but I'll come back and update this review once I've given this some use.Overall, you can't really go wrong with a rechargeable, high output Cree LED, multifunction flashlight with the battery and charger for under $20 shipped. I was tempted to pull two stars for the negatives, but the positives outweigh the negatives for the most part, it's rare to get more than what you pay for these days, but this is an exception.

$18 Gamble!
Look at all the gamblers that bought this light! Looks like a heck of a lot of losers, but still, people will buy. “How lucky are you punk”I lost! Light works but flickers and tail switch feels like it has sand in it. The charger is defective; keeps charging after 8 hours, battery was hitting 4.4v and climbing before charge pulled. This is an unprotected cell so deep discharge and over charge can smoke the battery, maybe your house as well? It’s bright for a 400-500 lumen light. Compare it to the Kobalt 500 lumen light sold at Lowe’s, $60. If all worked fine with NO issues you are a WINNER! The question is what to do if switch or LED module smokes for the ones that can’t work a screw driver or solder iron. Me, I should have bought a second $9 light for parts, a “no warranty” switch will cost you that much if it is beyond your repair. That’s IF you get two lights from the same manufacture with same parts? See, “How lucky are you punk”.I tried the light with two 123A-3v batteries. It was a smidgen brighter but lamp head and batteries got hotter much faster than single 18650. Anyone know if this has a voltage/current regulator? I suspect not at this price, until I pull it down, where, tail cap or drop in?My Camera meter only showed a 1/3 F-Stop more light from the 123A’s; 1/800 sec @ F7.5 for quick comparison so not worth the burn out risk IMHO from 6V vs. 3.7V.I will end up pulling light down and add o-ring grease and thermal grease to the lamp module. Since I see but a clean assembly, I suspect that I will have a melted lamp assembly if left alone at full output in hot summer nights. I will just use my heli-LiPo charger to safely charge the battery if retouching all solder points on the charger fails. So, go get yours!

Great Value Flashlight.
Great value for a flashlight. I predict the brightness of the WF-502b to be around the range of 9000cd of peak beam intensity which is good enough to clearly illuminate areas within 40 meters from you (5.625 lux at 40 meters). Its smooth reflector also makes it very hard to look at the LED when shining at full brightness. It doesn't have a dedicated mode switch button like other higher end flashlights, however I cannot complain since it is sold at a much lower price. It also came included with an 18650 battery and its charger.Pros:Great ValueBrightCons:Lack of mode switch buttonWideCannot tail-stand

1000 Lumens flash light review
This product does not have a on an off switch, it uses a button at the end of the flash light to switch between the 5 different lights, so the setting rotates as you click through it. I would want something that switch more easily instead of clicking through the bottom button. After 3 months of constant use, around 5 hours a week, The flash light no longer works after 3 months, not sure why, probably the LED burned out. I would definitely prefer this product to last some what longer.

this is a great little flashlight (and bright
For the price, this is a great little flashlight (and bright, oh is it bright). Don't let the price fool you, this will go toe to toe with higher priced units within reason. There's much better flashlights out there, but not many at this price point. Do not regret buying this as a backup light.

Bon produit
