Screen Door Pet Passage
L**G
works well for our Jack Russel Terrier
This door was easy to install and although it states it is for cats only, it works well for our 15# dog. It is sturdier than the previous three doors we have installed. Our dog has broken one door a season. The plastic was cheep and poorly constructed on those other doors. This one is made much better. The only problem is that although it is perfectly horizontal, it does not always close completely. The magnets are just not strong enough for it to always swing completely shut. I have thought about adding an extra magnet to it, but the problem is so minor I don't think I need to.

Love this door
Love this door! All five cats use it with ease, even our 19 pounder! Very easy to install. Still works great after a few months use.

Finally, no more bugs in the house
This was easy to install, although it's helpful to have two people working on it. The only installation problem is the hinges didn't quite snap together completely. However, it still works. I'll try to glue the hinges together. I really like the fact that this door is vertical so that it doesn't slam onto kitty’s rear end like one of the flap doors would (kind of a “don't let the door hit you and the way out" sort of thing). Plus, one size will take care of any height cat. The flap doors must be ordered in sizes. This unit closes very gently, and kitty can take his time going through (he doesn't pull his tail all the way through immediately). It did take him about a week to get the hang of it. I had to push it open when he wanted out for a while. Funny, though, when he wanted in, he seemed to be able to figure it out. Hmm. The only problems with the door is that sometimes it does not close all of the way, and a strong wind will cause it to stay open a bit. Someone mentioned possibly putting in more magnets. I’ve thought about that, but then, it would close harder and pinch kitty’s tail on the way. I will have to test it out. Tip: My little guy misjudged the opening portion and ran into the screen door itself when I had the slider open all of the way. I solved this by closing the slider just to the outside of the swinging door part. I am contemplating painting the swinging part white. Since it is gray, it blends with the actual screen door, and since cats cannot see colors the way we do, it could be deceptive for them. I am very happy with this purchase.
