The brand name degreaser tabs that I use for me Miele coffee machine are so expensive - and considering how often we have to degrease the machine (we go through a lot of coffee) I figured I'd try these. They work just as well as far as I can tell. I always run one cup of coffee after degreasing as both these and the brand name leave a slight chemical taste in that first cup of coffee after, but otherwise a great replacement.

When I bought these I thought they were effervescent and would dissolve in the water. This is not so. I dropped a tablet in the water and waited an hour. Nothing. It was still a tablet sitting in the water.You have to crush these little suckers between two spoons to get them to work. Even then if you don’t grind the tablet to a fine powder, the tiny lumps won’t dissolve.Eventually when you get to actually descaling, the tablets work fine as far as I know. They seem to produce some suds when you put them through the machine and the water comes out brown - all good signs.

So, I like to get value for my money. This is DEFINITELY a GREAT value and works just like the other more expensive kind (starts with a B ends with an E). I like to use less words for my reviews so that people can make up their own mind without reading fluff! :P Worked great and I will keep using these from now on on both my espresso machines! One a Breville the other an older Starbucks Barista! The end. :P

These cleaning tablets were perfect for my espresso machine. They fit into the portafilter and work as expected.
