Review for the Azio GM2400 Gaming Mouse
I've had the opportunity to use this mouse for about 4 months:Shape, Materials used, and Lighting: The Azio GM2400 has a somewhat "safe", ambidextrous shape. Although the shape is ambidextrous, the mouse is definitely better suited for right-handed users as there are only side buttons on the left side of the mouse. As a right-handed person who holds their mouse in a hybrid palm and claw grip, I can say that the comfort of the mouse is for the most part good. The main difference in terms of shape from this mouse compared to other mice is that the sides of this mouse are very curved. During long sessions of work or gaming, I haven't experienced cramps or any pain as a result of the stubbornly curved sides, but I have noticed that holding the mouse in a claw grip is slightly uncomfortable. I think the mouse is better suited for people who grip their mouse in either a palm grip or a finger tip grip. The mouse is made uniformly from a smooth plastic that feels good to the touch. It seems like a good material to use on cheaper mice because it is sturdy enough, feels good, but feels slightly cheaper than the material used on higher end mice. Despite the nice feeling of the smooth plastic, it does seem to attract some fingerprints, which isn't that big of an issue as the mouse can be easily cleaned. The lighting on the GM2400 is a good touchSensor and Mouse Feet: I'm not entirely sure specifically what optical sensor is used, but I haven't had any problems with it so far. The sensor does a decent job at tracking small movements and is definitely usable in FPS games. With regards to fast movements and "flicks" in game, it seems fine, but I'm sure it is possible to get it to spin out. The mouse feet are one of the bigger problems for this mouse. The mouse feet offer very little support to the mouse overall and are very rough. The mouse is completely unusable on surfaces other than mouse pads. Even on mouse pads, the feet seem rough, which creates a lot of noise and is not amazing for the mouse pad.Buttons and scroll wheel: Put simply, the buttons on this mouse are very average. Although the primary clicks have a low travel distance, they are a little more difficult to press than I would have hoped especially for games that require jitter clicking. Additionally, when the "forward" side button is held in, the primary click becomes harder to press. The side buttons seem okay with relatively low travel distance, but seem slightly spongy and the DPI button is slightly further back than most people would like, but at least DPI changing on the fly is possible. The scroll wheel seems pretty good in comparison to other mice in the price range. It requires slightly more force to actuate the click than I what I would have liked, but the each scroll step is well defined and is good for both gaming and for browsing web pages. Conclusion: Overall, this mouse is decent for the price. If you like the shape and you play a lot of fps games, I'd recommend this budget mouse; however, if you want a cheaper mouse with good buttons, this is not for you.

I've been using this pretty much daily since I purchased it in January
I've been using this pretty much daily since I purchased it in January. I play games. I was playing WoW mostly at the time of purchase and a little bit of League of Legends, but I have quit WoW (not really impressed with this expansion) for now. Anyway, now I play LoL most of the time and mix in some TF2 and GTAV. I haven't experienced any issues while playing anything or while browsing the internet.I chose it for its price and its shape was similar enough to my old Logitech mouse. While I think it looks pretty good for a cheap mouse, I didn't factor that into my decision to buy it, but I won't lie -- the colors and lights do remind me of a gaming mouse, so I suppose I was inclined to look at it when it popped up in my search results. It feels pretty solid, not at all cheap or flimsy. I was able to use it on my tabletop just fine without a mouse pad, which I bought a couple months later because I was concerned about the gunk that builds up on the feet of the mouse, not because it wasn't working well without it (it's also helped with cat hairs that would sometimes find its way into the optical lens). Also, if anyone was curious, I bought the Anker® Gaming Mouse Pad with Special-Textured Surface - Medium Size. It's pretty big (12.6 × 10.6 × 0.1in), but I like having all that space.UPDATE: 10/03/17Three weeks ago, one of the buttons stopped working on the mouse. I'm not sure why. It was working perfectly up until it stopped; there was nothing wrong with the button itself. Unfortunately, it happened while I was in the middle of a game, but at least it was during a QP in Overwatch, so no big deal. It lasted me a little over 2.5 years, so not terrible for the price, I guess, but I wish I didn't have to replace it already. Not really sure if I want to order another one or splurge on an actual gaming mouse (I'm currently using this crappy CyberPower one that came with my computer). It was a pretty good budget mouse, though. I wouldn't mind having another one for my laptop, which I don't use as much, so I'd probably have the mouse for much longer. I already have a wireless one for it, though.

Great Mouse, Even BETTER Customer Service
The ONLY reason they get Five-Stars for customer service, is because there are no options for a 10-Star customer service rating.I just purchased my second (for a 2nd computer) Azio GM2400 Gaming Mouse from North-Easter via Amazon. I’m certainly not much of a gamer “gamer” I just love the way this particular mouse feels, functions and responds. After trying my first Azio GM2400, I just can’t go back to the regular Logitech office mouse—it’s like driving a Corvette and thinking I won’t notice the difference when I jump into a Chevette, it’s that much better.Even better, is quality of service from North-Easter. When I open the box containing my new GM2400, it was obvious someone had used it, repackaged and returned it with out telling the folks at North-Easter the mouse was now used. Why they would return it the first place is beyond me. So, I contacted North-Easter, by email, expecting the normal one-two-week wait, followed by the run around and blame game that most retailers seem to play these days. I was SHOCKED when they contacted less than five minutes later to make things right, even more SHOCKING because it was late on Friday afternoon. I don’t buy a lot of electronics but when I do, from now on I will be looking to North-Easter FIRST!

This mouse has good tracking although the DPI setting is lost when the computer is turned off as it is stored in a volatile fashion in the mouse. You have to click the DPI button a few times every time you start up unless you're happy with the default lowest settingAlso my particular mouse has a janky scrollwheel that very rarely decides to scroll in the opposite direction. I once had an incident where the wheel would only scroll downwards regardless of which direction I pushed the wheel until I struck the mouse violently to fix it but since then it has worked well barring the occasional mis-scrollSo it's pretty much an OK mouse for the price, maybe QA issues though

The scroll wheel is awful. I don't recommend buying this.
At first the mouse was great, but it has been less than a year and the scroll wheel is inconsistent to the point of frustration. There are times I would scroll down on a website and I would end up "hovering" over a certain portion of the page. It would get so frustrating that I would just use the scroll bar in web browsers even for the smallest movements, as well as clicking the scroll wheel. But that doesn't fix my problem when it comes to software like Blender or GIMP when using the scroll wheel to zoom in on models or images. In order for it to work without issue you have to use the scroll very slowly, and even then it still has the habit of jumping in the opposite direction.Don't buy this if you don't want to pull your hair out.
