Reading the description you would think this guy would make potable water …… NOT so; the instruction sheet says "is a bacteriostatic device", "does not mean that the water leaving the system is safer to drink than the water entering the system", "indicates that the system limits the passage or growth of bacteria that may already exist in the incoming water."

This is an excellent value and saved my sanity at an RV park where the well water was very sulphury and had a slight oily sheen. After installing, only a minor odor remained, hardly noticeable. (To be clear, the odor was only then present after the water faucet was turned off for some time, allowing the gas to build up.) The price is quite good, but replacement filters are surprisingly difficult to find. They're almost never available via Amazon Prime, so you usually have to go with Dyer's. I switched to Clearsource replacements (ASIN B08MWS5PG2) which are compatible since they're all standard size, and they're available with the usual Prime shipping.Installation was a breeze. The manual makes it seem like there are more steps than there really are. I actually ended up building a cozy for it out of Reflectix so I can use my filters during the winter and keep it warm with the usual pipe heat tape, since I RV full-time.

I bought this filter to replace the typical in-line salami style water filter I had been using before. I wanted more complete and through filtering.I have been using it over a month now in three different states. The water tastes great reminding me of bottled water.I did not notice any drop in water pressure after installing this filter.My photo shows upgraded water supply hoses. The filter comes with a short (4') white hose.

Easy setup and excellent water quality. The water tasted so clean and fresh. We had a friend stay with us and she kept commenting on how soft her hair felt after her shower. I had to tell her that it was the filter that gave did that not the chlorinated tap water normally used. I bought a 6ft lock chain to make sure no one walks away with my investment.

be aware that adding these inline does reduce water pressure.typically campgrounds provide 40psi.. these reduce the pressure into the RV to 25 to 30 psi.the first filter cartridge is the culprit!! You have two choices.. use it as is and deal with low pressure or fill the water tanks and run off of internal water storage.
