Way way too repetitive. Good idea that really lost its way. Each list is compiled by a different person but some people were called upon numerous times (i.e., apparently Matt Guokas is your man if you want a list). Eyes glaze over even if you pick this book up sporadically to read a single list.Needed a narrower focus and it's no wonder you can buy this book used for just US$.03 now.Honestly, after finishing it and reading the co-author Pat Williams has 19 kids (14 adopted) I wanted to read a book about his family life more than this.

Loving the lists. Some of them you might disagree with, but with the many arguments it is hard not to like them anyways. Also a lot of lists that you don't see often.

This is a fantastic book. I have read and reread it several times. I was an early NBA fan from 1951 on and I love to read about the early stars. Nearly every phase of the game is covered with the top 10 in every category. I fully agreed with most of the selections by the various coaches. I reccommend this book to any and all NBA fans and there followers. The growth of pro basketball has been amazing. Often times one of the clubs would fail and the NBA was reduced to 8 teamms at one time. Today they have 30 teams and all are making money and look good.This NBA book covers all the big expansion moves by the teams. Everyone should read it!! SIncerely, David O Karickhoff

For a person not located in the USA and not familiar with all the comings and goings in the NBA this was a good read. Very easy to read and well constructed. Some humorous and insightful observations of many of the non player personnel involved in the NBA gives this book a high rating in my view. In parts a bit repetitive but overall I really enjoyed the book

This book has provided hours of entertainment for my son and husband to quiz each other in basketball trivia. A perfect gift for any NBA fan. You won't find it on your son's Christmas list, but he will be thrilled that you include it!
