Saved me from iron infusions!!
I don't usually write reviews, but this is an exception. I am 10 years post GBS. I have been battling extremely low iron levels for the last year. I was at a point that the hematologist was getting ready to order iron infusions. I had one more month to try to bring up my levels by increasing my iron to twice a day. I was told by another GBS patient who was a nurse practitioner about chewable iron and taking it with a swallow of orange juice to help with absorption. I decided to give this product a try. I figured what did I have to lose at this point with infusions looming on the horizon. I took Bariatric Advantage supplements twice a day for about 3 weeks before I went back to have my blood work repeated and then waited for my f/u appointment with the hematologist. I usually see his nurse practitioner, but both the doctor and nurse practitioner came in the room. Didn't know what to think until the NP said jokingly that the doctor only came in because the news was good! My ferritan level (iron stores) had TRIPLED!!). The doctor even gave me a hug! I confessed that I had changed the type of iron I was taking. He wanted to know what it was so that he could recommend it to his other Bariatric patients with the same issue. I now don't have to have my levels checked for three months and am anticipating great results. This product worked great for me. I'll try to remember to update at my three month recheck.UPDATE 10-1-15: My lowest Ferritin level was 8. Just had my bloodwork done again two weeks ago and my Ferritin is 43.4! My doctor said it is "perfect." I am taking the iron twice a day, and will continue to do so.

Taste good.
My iron levels dropped significantly, recently. I was taking an over the counter iron that was not chewable and was a lower strength. At my doctor's recommendation, I switched to these and took 3 per day, which was a bit of a pain! They did not cause constipation, which was a big concern for me. After taking 3 per day for a month, we retested. My iron levels improved, but not significantly. My ferritin levels (iron stores) actually dropped. I ended up having to have iron infusions. If I had been taking this brand all along, I wonder if my levels would have dropped so much. I am continuing to take 1 per day, although my hematologist doesn't think it will do much good, but I figure it is worth a try. I will be retesting in a couple of months and will report back if this doesn't seem to help. By the way, they do taste good. A word of caution: it is easier to keep your iron levels up than it is to bring them up - kind of like grades!

Very happy!
While pregnant I found out that I was severely anemic. My doctor told me to start taking iron supplements, however the traditional pill form just made me extremely nauseous. So...I stopped taking them and continued to be very anemic (which in turn made me tired and lethargic.) Finally, a friend told me about these supplements. Unfortunately I didn't learn about them until the very end of my pregnancy. These don't make me feel nauseous at all! I am so glad that I found something that I could take. Even after giving birth, I continue to take these and have had no problems since.

Ok, Effective, but come to think of it, I'd rather not chew my iron.
I wanted a break from swallowing so many pills. I take many vitamins on a daily basis. These gave me that break, but at the same time, they left somewhat of an after taste. They also eventually degraded in my monthly pill organizer system. So, they do much better to leave them in the bottle. They are effective, however because my iron level remained fine while I used them.

Tired Plot
Don't you think the alien invasion plot has been done enough? Huge holes in basic reasoning process of characters, for example, in a parking garage full of cars, no one thought about trying to use a jack to lift the gate. Who shines a light in the woods when they're trying to hide from potential killers? Music is exciting and adds punch to the excitement, yes, it's got some exciting moments, but does this retread have enough novelty to carry it along tracks that have been traveled so many times?
