The Africa NG A2560 Medium Satchel is an everyday, functional shoulder bag that holds all your personal gear along with a camera or camcorder in designated protective zones. Removable padded insert holds and protects a DSLR camera or camcorder with media accessories. One halfway modular divider enables specific equipment setup. A padded compartment holds most laptops and notebooks (15.4" or less). Two easy-access pockets allow you to keep the accessories you want close at hand. A front organizer pocket is perfect for small accessories. Carrying options include handle, thick shoulder strap, or rear trolley strap to slide over handle.

Great Bag for Carry-on
This is simply a great bag! Some complain that it's large, but as a six-footer, I find the size to be just fine and a great compromise between carrying capacity and maneuverability. I also bought the smaller Midi bag (the 2540) because I need to carry computers and I couldn't tell which size would be right. The answer is, this one handles a 13" and a 15" Mac just fine, and it leaves enough room for toiletries or a camera in the interior pouch, an umbrella, power adapters, and a small amount of clothing. The zipper at the top is a good security measure, but you do pretty much have to unbuckle the flap and flip it up to get in there (although you can arrange the zippers to provide hand access if you want to. The zippered pocket outside the main compartment (but still under the flap) holds business cards, iPods, passports, pens, and other things you might need quickly. Fabric is sturdy, and the straps and handle seem good. This bag lets me avoid carrying a larger rolling carryon, and it fits under the seat or in those tiny airplane bins on the regional jets. Get this one and avoid baggage claim!

Great looking back
Great looking back, MUST INCLUDE NG 7300..Carried a 17in Macbook and Canon 70D with three lens fine, although I had to steal pads from another back for the camera. The pockets on the outer flap are great for passports, money, etc.I travelled all over Europe and Africa with this bag. I was mistaken for a National Geographic Photographer many times. It's all good, even Indiana Jones had a man-purse.

Great Bag!
It's a great bag. It's sturdy, looks great, and has a fairly secure zipper. It's going to be hard getting anything pickpocketed out of this bag. It held a laptop, laptop charger, large dslr large lenses, spare batteries, cables, water bottles, umbrella, raincoat, notes and if you really tried, you could cram a thin jacket inside as well. I bought this bag to store my camera w/out looking too much like a camera geek. Try it out its awesome.

Fragile, useless for work, only good for looks
The only good point about this bag that it looks somewhat cool. This bag is only suitable for very small, lightweight cameras! Don't even think about putting normal sized DSLR here with a few lenses, it will be uncomfortable to walk with it for a long time. Full-sized SLR (with battery block) and attached lens WONT fit there at all. It is very fragile, made out of very thin cloth, the strap is too narrow, zip is made of very low quality plastic and wears out fast.

The picture is better than the real thing
I was disappointed when the bag arrived. It was too big for my size. It seems bigger than the actual measurements advertised. The material is also not strong and sturdy which I doubt will give my camera and netbook good protection. The material of the enclosed camera bag is also very thin. The leather straps on the front also feels cheap and thin. In general the bag is bulky in my opinion unless you are a big and tall person. So much for a good looking bag. I returned the bag the next day. If you like National Geographic bags, I would recommend the series with the green canvas bags. I have two and the material is thicker.

Very inconvenient to use but good quality.
The bag is good quality, however it is poorly conceived as far as convenience of accessing the equipment inside, very tedious getting in and out...

Could use more interior padding.
I love the style and material of this bag, but there aren't many padded interior pockets for camera gear so I've had to use ones from other bags. It's REALLY big and not easy to carry, but I still think it's a great bag.
