My Favorite Footwear
After reading several reviews and double checking the size of other Clark shoes I own, which are half a size smaller than I normally get in other brands, I decided to go with my normal size so I could comfortably wear socks with them. I'm so glad I made that call. These have become my favorite footwear! I have bunions and suffer from foot pain, making it hard to find/buy shoes that don't hurt. As others have reported, they do tend to be loose in the heel area but with socks they feel fine and by ordering my correct size, the front is wide enough not to apply pressure on my toes and bunions. The heel height is perfect as I am 5'9" and do not care to reach for the sky. They are not padded inside like several of my other Clark shoes but they are still very comfortable, more so than some of my other Clarks. I have had them for 3 months now and wear them almost daily. They are still in wonderful condition and I believe they will last a very long time. I love them so much that I just ordered a brown pair. Now I can definitely wear them everyday. Yea!

so maybe they would work better for persons with wider feet
I ordered these booties to replace a worn pair of Bandolino booties. I usually get all my shoes/boots from Clarks, but this particular model/design was just not meant for me. They are very heavy when walking, and very bulky around the ankles: I could fit my entire hand in that space! I don't think that's normal. I was thinking of ordering a size down, but the 8.5M that I originally ordered fit me perfectly. So it was not a size issue. It's just a model flaw I imagine. However, I have thin feet, so maybe they would work better for persons with wider feet. I looked around and found that Sam Edelman's Women's Petty Boots were a PERFECT fit for me, but not in 8.5M, in 8M, so I went half a size down. They're just perfect, in length and they're not bulky at all around the ankle. Just a thought if you're looking for ankle booties and would rather get the right pair first time round, and not order and return and reorder for weeks on end :(

I am very happy that I read so many helpful reviews about the sizing running a little large. I ordered 1/2 size smaller than normal, they fit to a tee & still have room for a moderately thick sock. I have many Clark's shoes & find the majority to be extremely comfortable. I read some not so positive reviews about the boot's looks but I like the almost 'worn' or broken-in look of the boots. I think these will be one of my favorites - they will definitely look great with jeans & that's the reason I bought them.

Get these boots ladies!
I love these shoes!!! I purchased them in black and the leather looks just like the picture. They look really nice with skirts and dresses. I had been looking for a pair of black booties that were stylish, comfortable, and weren't too high. I was so happy when I came across these. I'm always afraid to buy shoes online, and after reading all the reviews about the fit I wasn't sure if I should get my usual size 8 1/2M or a 9. I'm glad I went with the 8 1/2M. Like some reviewers said, the shoes are a bit roomy in the back. This isn't a problem because I'm able to comfortably wear my tights and a light pair of socks with the boots. And even though my feet are wide, my toes are just fine. I highly recommend these.

Style is Great
There was only one pair of these boots available when I ordered. I had tried other retailers and could not find this boot in my size so I ordered this boot from Amazon and at a good price reduction from other vendors. The boot arrived quickly and I love the style. The leather is somewhat distressed but had some marks that made me think the boot had been worn. The inside of the boot appeared to have a light foot imprint in both boots. After much consideration I decided to keep the boots because it's difficult to find stylish boots in my size (12) and they fit very well. I'm glad that I kept them and will wear them often.

Great boots if you don't mind a "worn" look
Probably my new favorite booties! I bought these in my usual size 8 because I need the width and they do not come in wide widths. They fit perfectly with regular socks and are very comfortable. I can wear them all day, including my mile-long walk to and from work, without any discomfort. The finish is intentionally worn looking, probably moreso than the stock photo suggests, but I don't think they look like they are poor quality at all. I also really like the height of the boot itself; I have trouble finding booties that are the right height on me with ankle jeans, since I am on the shorter side, but these are perfect and do not come up too high on my ankles. Overall, I am very pleased.

I like them but . . .
Ok I have a weird foot shape. It is wide across the toes and narrow in the heel. So these fit wide in my heel and narrow in front, as expected. I love the look, but the foot bed is hard and they aren't warm at all. Not a good idea for a really cold winter day, even with wool blend socks. Also, by the end of the day I couldn't wait to take them off my feet. I like them, I just can't wear them for long periods of time.

So cute with skinny jeans, corduroys, leggings but runs large and thin sole
I love Clarks ... but they are changing their ways. These ankle boots are so cute and stylish! When I first tried them on I almost returned them because they are large front-to-back and even in the arch. How could I make them fit? I added a Dr. Scholl’s cheap foam footbed liner (takes up a little more room) and I wear my thicker ski socks or boot socks. The socks alone didn’t work for me because I felt like I was walking on a cardboard sole; but, after adding a little more padding from a cheap shoe liner and wearing thicker socks, they are perfect. I wore them for 2 days of major Christmas shopping and they never hurt once.Sooo many compliments! Don’t give up if they’re a “little” big ... modify!
