Great little tool
My Daughter managed to break the headphone jack off in her tablet and as I really didn't want to to strip the whole thing down just to remove the remnants I searched and found these brilliant little tools. After receiving them it took me just 3 attempts to remove the pieces of broken jack, first attempt was unsuccessful and I realised after reading some other reviews that a gentle tap was required to help the tool pass the jack and connectors (i used the back of my long nose pliers), Second attempt removed the upper collar and the third attempt removed the rest with no damage to the tool or the tablet and finally used the brush to clean the socket just in case there was any debris in there.Everything now works great and it saved me a lot of hassle.

Worked! but needed a lot of effort / force
I gave up at first after 5 minutes and thinking there was not enough space for the tubes to fit. Then came back later after figuring there was nothing else I could do and proceeded to use a 'i'm either going to break the port or make this fit' amount of force, pressing down really hard and using the cloth things provided to cushion my fingers. This was a front headphone port on a PC for reference. It seemed to either break a piece of the port off or it pushed through some external part of the headphone jack that was left behind (the piece came out on the outside of the tube, which makes me think it was part of the port but I'm honestly not sure as the 3.5mm port is working fine now with new headphones). After that piece came out, i was able to much more comfortably get a tube further down and around the rest of the remaining headphone jack and remove it.Biggest tip I can give is don't be afraid to use a lot of force. At the end of the day, if you can't get the jack out...there's not much else you can do, so it'd be broke/useless either way.

Did the job (just)
Fortunately, you get more than one puller in the pack, because it took quite a few attempts to get the headphone plug out. Be aware that you need to push the puller right down to the end of the plug, which takes quite a bit of force, which causes the thin metal of the puller to bend. But it did the job in the end.

Works!
Last night the head phone jack snapped in my phone. After some searching I came across these. Order them and they just arrived.Within 5 minutes I got the broken bit out.It came out in 2.I used one tool the get part out then the one on the key ring to get the second out.I bashed the tool into the bottom and used pillers to squeak the metal.Saved me a fortune.

Did not work on PC
It's worth giving anything a go giving the circumstances and I think it's the main reason this product makes any money. It failed miserably with me, I was however impressed that it actually got in the hole and wrapped about the jack but there just wasn't enough grip to actually pull the jack out. And yes I carefully tapped it in and then squeezed it to try and tighten the grip and tried squeezing and not squeezing at different places. Nothing worked, in the end I just took the computer apart and popped it out from the other end . Works now and the cleaning brush was perfect for cleaning the jack hole but did not need it in my situation. This might work better on phones will update review if I ever try.

Amazing!
A distressed feeling washed over me when trying to plug headphones into my laptop the other day only to find that the jack didn't fit. I pushed and pushed. What's in there I thought?I wasn't sure. But there was definitely something, I checked my headphones and nope, still intact. I thought, somebody has put something in there, that's the last time I leave my laptop around. A while later I realised the culprit was a cheap speaker I sometimes use, when it happened I don't know but it was missing the very end of it's jack. Poor thing.Anyway I bought these things after searching for five minutes, delivered next day and wham, the little piece was out. It took me 4 or 5 times before I got the hang of it but it worked perfectly.Thank you, replacing a headphone jack in a laptop was not going to be good, I'd probably just accept that this is how life is now.

Did the job !
Got a refurbished laptop - all seemed to work except the headphone socket .. seemed something trapped in there. No idea what it was, bought this and tried a few times and turns out it was some LED light in there (huh!) - but it came out and now fully working headphones socket on laptop!Slightly difficult to grip since it's metal after-all but all worked.
