how far dose this go?

it will throw pellets about 20 feet. However it is very weak if you are wearing heavier clothes you may not even know you have been hit. I was not impressed with mine.

Can I load this up with glitter?

Yes you should be able to. Glitter will fall inside but most should stay in the launch pad. You could put a piece of paper over the glitter before you fold the launch arms in to help keep the glitter secure. Good luck!
