The inner ring can be flipped up to 125° and the ring holder can be rotated 360° so it can be adjusted to both portrait mode or landscape mode to work.

Q: What is the gauss (magnetic strength) of the ring holder?

I don’t know the exact magnet strength but I will say it could be a lot stronger. I’ve dropped my IPhone 13 pro max twice now with this magnet holder. Once that broke my screen protector.

Q: Has anyone tried this with an otterbox commuter case?

I have an Otterbox ANEU case (iPhone 12 mini). It still sticks/has the magnet draw. (If MagSafe works it’ll stick). I find it slides easily so don’t press any side buttons without supporting the phone. I’ve caused my phone to go flying at least twice before stopping that habit. Honestly for holding my phone I just don’t use it. Makes a nice kick stand, but I can’t trust it to support my phone in my hand.
