How long should I wear this on my pinky? And do you think I should still go see a doctor?

I have a trigger on my ring finger. I wear a brace at night on it and take two sleeve before bed after about a month I started to see a difference. Finger would be stiff when I took brace off but would loosen up and not bind. Still hurts some and my doctor told me to try some voltaren on it during day. I have been doing this for about two months and see a big difference. My dr is very conservative with shots, etc.
