HTH 1174 Multi-Purpose 6-Way Test Strips for Swimming Pools, 30 ct

I use the 6-way tester to set up the pool and monthly during the swim season. These strips are quick ways to make sure chemical balance stays close in between.

This is our go to product all pool season. Having a healthy pool is important and we utilize these test strips daily before opening the pool.I’m able to adjust and maintain our pool without spending time adding drops to the standard testing kits. I’ve tested side by side with the old fashioned kits and the results were almost exactly the same.Makes better use if my time so the pool can easily be adjusted and move on with my day.

These are individual strips individually wrapped which I never have seen before. You slide one up and then open the strip package. One star deducted for expiration. I think because they were all sealed so well they still work.

I routinely buy these online as they are almost ALWAYS, I repeat, ALWAYS cheaper online than any pool store or retailer such as Wal-Mart etc. Not to mention they are (in my opinion) more reliable and more accurate than other brands of test strips I have bought and tried.

I had a two year old kit that wasn’t registering the chlorine. This new kit is right on the money. A good product.

These strips are easy to test the pool and read tge results

This is so much easier to read than the kits with the drops. It provides reading for all the different aspects of pool treatment. I've been able to keep our water clear and make necessary adjustments with no problems. It's easy to use!

Update--I've been using these for a month now and results can be erratic. The only reading that I can confirm has been accurate is the free chlorine.I got a reading saying that my pH was 8.4, when it was in fact 7.6. The alcalinity reading makes no sense, it's multicolored (other reviewers have pictures showing this).Original review--Not a big fan of these strips. It was my first time using strips+ 2 of the tests were accurate: chlorine, pH.+ Test that seemed off: Alcalinity (the strip reported 80, but my other 2 testing kits reported about 130)+ Test that was very confusing: cyanuric acid (at the one minute mark the reading was 100, soon after the color turned to 70 and stayed that way). My other testing kits don't test for this so I am not able to compare+ No frame of reference: hardness (my other testing kits don't test for this so I am not able to compare)The batch I have is not expired, so I don't know what the deal is. I will be keeping these strips (not returning) because I got them primarily to be able to quickly check the chlorine level and the pH. It would have been nice to have all the tests be reliable.

Just purchased this product, only to find that it expires this month. Testing strips should be usable for at least a year, shows that the product rotation has not been done, and they were just trying to get rid of them. Using expired products will not yeild accurate results. Unacceptable.
