Nowhere and no way--DNF
Wish Amazon had a DNF rating. 2 stars is my standard for a DNF unless there's something hugely offensive (1 star) or merely not to my personal taste (3+ stars or none at all).I bought this on sale because the author's name was familiar to me, though I'd never read anything of hers, I was in the mood for a contemporary at the time, and I'm a fan of competence pr0n. The opening chapters really grabbed me, and I liked the set up of three estranged brothers forced together by their toxic father's Will. The brother featured in this novel, Caleb, is a gruff, controlling guy whose soft center is protected by a harsh exterior that unfortunately mirrors some of Dad's nastiness. He's both the favored son and the son that didn't get away. I really liked the construction company background as well as the family dynamic, and I wanted to see how things sorted themselves out.Even though these early chapters pulled me in, I was constantly distracted by awkward phrasing and word usage. I don't go into any book looking for grammatical or spelling errors, but when they start to seem habitual, I have a tendency to highlight the passage and use the notation function to talk back to the book. I do the same to content that strikes me as improbable or inconsistent or just annoying. (I actually do it for things I like too, but not in this case.) By the time I gave up at the 26% mark, I had made 35 notes, and I'd had enough.Speaking of just annoying-- So, a month after the Pierce brothers begin their reluctant social experiment of living and working together, Morgan waltzes into their lives offering the the job of a lifetime. I never call characters unlikable, cuz who am I to tell other readers what to like? But Morgan irritated me from her first appearance. Supposely a smooth, professional design consultant, she is introduced with an internal monologue more typical of an interviewee for a college internship and a meet-cute involving dog drool and paw prints on a white skirt--all preventable if she hadn't walked into the Pierce home uninvited. She presents her job proposal like it's already a done deal, while assessing Caleb like a slab of prime beef. He is less than amenable and less than polite. He turns her down brusquely, ostensibly because he has another job in the works but also because he's a jerk. She departs with the business equivalent of "I'll get you my pretty."Morgan annoys me because she comes across as a composite of stereotypes, rendering her seeming complexity kind of unbelievable. One minute she's a southern belle; the next, a hard-nosed entrepreneur; then, a slavering connaisseur of hard male bodies. There's no reason these traits couldn't all reside in the same person, but in this book, they come across as set pieces rather than integrated character development. However, the one thing I really couldn't get past was the method by which Morgan achieves her goal. Details would be spoilery, but it involves lying, unethical business practice, and an absolute disregard for anyone's well-being but her own. I think the only reason I stuck with the book beyond this point was the brothers' ongoing relationship issues--with each other. So after Morgan basically coerces Caleb into taking the job, each time Morgan sank into drooling lust over the hot construction guy, I would think, "but you did *that* to him." By this point in the book, Caleb is also entertaining some lascivious fantasies, but real chemistry is more than two people visualizing perfect butt musculature or speculating on what color fruit someone's nipples resemble. (C'mon, strawberry? Don't they have ointments for that?) At the 25% mark, there should have been more interest in the other person's happiness and a little understanding of their problems. At the very least, there should have been a little curiosity about their inner life. Heat may trigger a reaction, but the real chemistry takes place between two complete persons. There were some deightful moments and excellent banter that kept me reading--notably a board room scene that descends into fraternal bickering and is then called briskly to order by Caleb's PA and a clever discussion using books and authors as an oblique reference to sexual attraction. In fact, the moment that ended it for me was pretty minor and involved Morgan dipping her dainty pink workboots into the actual construction process, gaining the respect of the construction guys (and why do they all seem to be guys at this point?) for putting in one day's work, then slipping into contemplation of Caleb's ass-etts on the jobsite. At length. I have no problem with Morgan flaunting her girly girl self or her bad*ssed carpentry skills, but again, there's the feel of a set piece and the sense that Caleb should be more than a sexy construction worker stereotype to her by now. I guess I just ran out of patience at this point. So two stars for the DNF and the aggravation. I may be able to Return for Refund, or I may revisit at some point down the road. If so, I will revisit and revise this review as well.

Loved this, great start to this series and cannot wait to see where it goes
Everywhere and Every Way by Jennifer Probst4 stars!!!“Beautifying the world one house at a time.”Jennifer Probst never fails to deliver with her cute romances and to die for heroes and Everywhere and Every Way is no different. This is the first book in a series and introduces all three of the Pierce brothers while mainly concentrating on Cal’s story. The Pierce family was ripped apart five years ago when their mum died in a car accident while running off with another man, leaving her three boys and her husband behind. Their father became cold and controlling and the hostile atmosphere and the differences of opinions led to the Pierce family being torn apart and the three brothers went their separate ways. Caleb, the oldest son stayed behind and worked with his father at the family construction company and Caleb had not seen his brothers since. Fast forward five years and the dad has passed, unbeknown to Caleb having changed his will beforehand. Now the brothers must live and work together, turn a profit in a year, else the company gets dissolved. It seems their Dad’s final wish was that his sons reunite and become a family once again. A lot of mud and water has passed under the bridge; will the Pierce siblings be able to let bygones be bygones? This story focuses on Caleb or Cal for short. He was the brother left behind and the one that has been running Pierce Construction with his Dad. He has been under his control for years and has taken the rough with the smooth and now having to let his absentee siblings in on the action is hard to stomach, Caleb feels like he has been sucker punched and he doesn’t give up easily. He needs new perspective and to not live in the past, but a lot has happened and a lot is going to happen.“Of course, the man was a raw specimen of primitive male, from his rock-hard body to those come-and-let-me-do-very-bad-things-to-you eyes.”Morgan is a design consultant to the rich and famous and the celebrities of Hollywood, she takes a client’s vision and creates from the ground up. She sources the land, architects, builders, describes the house she envisions and is hands on from design to construction. It is after this that her creative flair takes over and she furnishes and decorates with a flourish. Morgan is headstrong and confident, she takes no crap from anyone and for a woman who thrives in a man’s world she has tough skin and is not afraid to give as good as she gets. I loved her attitude and her ability to bring even the toughest of men to their knees. She talked a good talk but she could back it up tenfold. There was nothing to not love about her. She has had a tough time in the past, but she has found her niche and is making the most of it and the Pierce brothers are not going to come between her and her end goals…well, maybe Cal…“So, Morgan had done the only logical thing women did to keep themselves from falling into bed with a man. She hadn’t shaved her legs.”What I loved about this book was the way that Jennifer Probst delivered a romance that was not just a romance. Throughout this story was the back story of the siblings, what had happened in their past and how it was now affecting their present and future. How nothing was cured with a band aid and all their issues and problems were at the forefront and not swept under a rug. There was no instant fix, they had to work through everything. Sometimes it was messy, sometimes it was hard but they worked at it slowly but surely.Cal and Morgan together were hot, their chemistry was on point and their relationship believable. Morgan’s issues constantly plague her but she keeps them too herself until the right time. I adored the dogs, there was some fantastic dialogue that had me laughing my head off so all in all there is something for everyone.“Morgan hurried out of the house like ghosts were chasing her. And they were. The ghosts of the past, and the ghosts of regrets.”Secondary characters all played their part and really cemented this as a page turner. I had a few inklings about one character and after the end of this book I am super intrigued. My first thoughts were correct and it seems we are going to have a bit of suspense to look forward to. I can’t wait for Dalton and Tristan’s book and with this added plot line I can see developing they can’t come quick enough.“His Southern magnolia was really a hot house rose, and he loved every effing moment.”

What a great read
What a great read from Jennifer Probst. Cal and Morgan are at odds from the start and I loved their will they won’t they as well but during the middle it slowed down for me but it picked up massively right through till the end and I loved it and can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

Fun & sexy yet with a solid, believable storyline
What I really love about a Jennifer Probst book is that she has the ability to give her readers a fun and sexy read yet still fill it with complex emotions and a solid, believable storyline. Her books will have you laughing, swooning and even yelling at times, but in the end you know you will end the story with a huge smile on your face. Everywhere and Every Way is the first book in Jennifer Probst newest series. Great banter, construction workers, pink shoes and cute mischievous dogs had me devouring this book in one sitting. In this book we meet Caleb and Morgan. Caleb is the oldest of the Pierce Brothers and has been working along side his dad with the family business. When Caleb Pierce's father passes away, he's shocked at the stipulations spelled out at the reading of the will. In order for Pierce Construction to continue existing, he must run the business with his two estranged brothers Tristan and Dalton for a year, while living together in the family estate.Morgan is a well known designer/decorator to a celebrity based clientèle. Her latest clients have brought her to the quaint town of Harrington and to the offices of Pierce Brothers Construction, where she meets Caleb. What we get from here is a roller-coaster ride. These two were all over the place and their banter was fun. Talk about a book with sexual tension, these two had it in spades. So if you’re looking for a fun, sexy, entertaining romance and are a fan of Jennifer Probst, or even if she is a new author to you, give this book a try….I think everyone will really enjoy this book.

Another winner
Loved this entire series! Read all of them. There are very few book series when I have liked all of the books. I find they usually feel watered down by the end but not this one. Every story stood on its own.
