Kollage needles are great however...
Kollage needles are fantastic needles but the issue is that the cord/cable becomes disconnected from the needle despite the new design. There are prongs on the cord/cable. You use the needle to separate the prongs, you line up the line on the needle to the line on the cord, and it snaps in with a click. Supposedly, the cable is locked securely once this happens and cannot separate. Unfortunately, it does separate. Somehow, when you push the needle into the cord, the prongs are suppose to hold the needle in place to the cord but I think what is happening is that when you push the needle into the cord, the prongs actually come together slightly but there is still enough friction for it to stay locked in. As you knit, the movement of the yarn on the cable is constantly tugging the cord and that eventually, that tugging causes the prongs to come really close together and they loose their spring action and therefore pop off the needle. At least, that's my speculation. The frustrating thing is that it only happens on certain cables with certain needles. Since having needles separate from the cord in the middle of a project is a really bad thing, it makes me scared to use my Kollage set for anything. Fortunately, I have Kollage Fixed Needles so I switch to those but for the money it costs for the Kollage interchangeable set, this problem with the needle disconnecting from the cord needs to be addressed and fixed.Update: I contacted Kollage's warranty department and they are sending me a new cable so customer service is excellent. However, it is still frustrating when needles separate from the cable especiially in the middle of a intricate lace shawl that I have been working on for months! I suggest everyone knit a test gauge and if the needles pop off the cable despite following all the directions for securing the cable to the needle, don't risk using that needle/cable combination in your project until you get the problem resolved.

Cables are a problem
The idea to create square knitting needles deserves five stars. The cables ruin the product. Engineers should never be allowed to create something the don't use or fail to understand the client's who do. Simple and easy is the goal and this design doesn't even come close. Soft cords are too soft requiring constant threading of stitches on needle. Firmer cords are so stiff I'm constantly wrestling with them out of my work area.I wanted to like these because the square needles are a real plus. Unfortunately there's too much struggle with the cords and I haven't even discussed the complicated procedure of attaching and dis-attaching them from the needles. A bad investment, I don't recommend. It's unfortunate the engineering of cables was ever approved.

Unhappy
Un happy Although I love kollage needles ny new needles have caused me many problems. The shortest Cords both soft and hard . The hard cord keeps slipping out causing me to have to redo stitches. The sift cord broke and now I cannot use my number 7 needles because part of the attachment is in the needle. I am very disappointed.
