Solid Bridge for a good price.
I purchased this prior to reading the reviews and kicked myself when I read them. I received the unit and set up was a snap, less than 10 minutes from cutting open the shipping box to connection, then the fun began... My router wasn't assigning it an IP address, I couldn't ping my attached printer, reading the reviews I assumed the unit truly was a dud. I gave Trendnet tech support a workout as they kept insisting the problem was a network configuration, to be fair my contact was limited to email but responses were very fast, and I kept insisting it wasn't. As I was reaching the end of my patience I went through my router configuration one more time and unchecked the Block LAN to WAN Multicast and Broadcast Data option and BAM the TEW-800MB was up and running and has been for the last 20 or so hours so I don't appear to have the sleep issue others here are complaining about. In summary, setup is a breeze, Trendnet tech support is very quick to respond to issues and the TEW-800MB works well for a great price.Edit: 12 days and no issues...Edit again: 6 months straight no disconnects and no issues...

I've bought two of these units and they disconnect after about 24 hours of inactivity. The config options are very limited.
UPDATE 9/29/17:I bought two of these units and even after setting the main router 5GHz channel to- channel width to 80MHz- 149/80 wireless channeland choosing WPA2/AES for your wireless network securitythe TRENDNet Wireless AC1200 Dual Band Media Bridge disconnects after about 24 hours.I've updated to the latest firmware that I downloaded from the TRENDNet support site.I've even disabled WMM in Quality of Service (QoS). I still get connection drops. After rebooting it does not always re-establish the connection back to the router. On the surface, these bridges seem like a great deal as refurbished at about $17,however they just don't work. Period.I think that TRENDNet is getting a lot of these as returns, they "refurbish them" byupgrading the firmware and maybe running some brief QC tests, turn around and sell these to new unwitting consumers. Don't buy!I've submitted 2 return / refund requests on the basis that these are defective. If it's too good to be true, then it probably is.Note that I have a TP-LINK bridge that works flawlessly in the same network environment,It reconnects after router reboot, it just works. Save money and time and avoid this product.TRENDNet has no business selling a product that simply does not work as advertised.Whoever came up with this scheme of selling "refurbished" units at $17 a pop should be fired. If these units were returned when they were bought new, TRENDNet should have done theirhomework and thoroughly tested these bridges with a variety of routers to see if the connectionstays up over days not hours.Instead, it seems they took the easy way out. Upgrade the firmware, do some lite QC as far astesting the initial connection, box these units, post them on amazon marketplace and calling it a day. These should not be sold in the first place if they drop the connection and need to be rebootedand even then they don't connect.FIRST POSTThis bridge works and does not drop the connection if you set your router / access point (to which all devices are connected)to the following settings (per Adrian at tech support)- 5GHz channel- channel width to 80MHz- 149 wireless channel- choose WPA2/AES for your wireless network securityThen your bridge WiFi network connection will never disconnect or timeout.

TEW-800MB failed expectations - Poor interface and lacking documentation
I have an existing Netgear R7000 dual band 802.11ac router and I bought this media bridge to connect my entertainment system to my network without having to run CAT5 or CAT6 wire. I based my purchase on the majority of positive reviews and I have to say that I'm greatly disappointed. Here are some of the issues I discovered:1. I failed to read the fine print, from Trendnet's web site, that this device uses either 2.4G or 5G but not both at the same time.2. The WPS failed to automatically connect the router and media bridge together, which could be either Netgear's or Trendnet's fault, and I had to manual add the security key to the router before it would accept the new bridge.3. The default connection is 2.4G. If the new standard is moving the 5G, for the greater connection speeds and transmission range, wouldn't it be better to make the 5G the default frequency?4. The administrative web interface is a joke. It's like ready "Wi-Fi for Dummies" on sedatives. Manually configuring the device is minimal at best and adjusting advance settings is none existent, unless you are willing to export the config, make the changes in a text file editor, and then import the updated configuration. Even if you went that extent to make advanced config changes, the config file is unreadable and there is NO documentation on advance settings either from Trendnet or from anywhere online.5. And to top it all off, I can't get the 5G to connect to the router. The bridge does see the SSID but fails to complete the connection. I read another review where the person indicated that his router got better performance when connecting via channel 44 from his router. I tried that but still could not get the 5G to connect. With the lack of advance settings viewing in the web admin interface, who knows what channel the media bridge is using.6. On the 2.4G side, the connection was strong and seemed responsive, however, the connection speed was about half the 300 mbps maximum rate (the R7000 saw the connection as 150mbps).If I can't get the 5G to connect to the router in the next day or two, I'll return it and look for another bridge or WAP elsewhere.

Looks good, relatively easy to install, works a treat
Our new home was supposed to have been hardwired for Ethernet. When we moved in and discovered that it wasn't (long, infuriating story), I had to manage with wireless. Wireless is much better than it used to be, but still a lot of media devices (even brand new ones) can't pick up a 5 GHz signal, let alone AC. Also, buried in their user manuals, are gentle suggestions to connect to your router with a cable "for better results". If only I could! I had upgraded to the TRENDnet AC wireless router and was delighted when I discovered this bridging device. My TV, Blue-ray player and Apple TV all think they are connected to the internet with a cable, which of course, they are, but via the TEW-800MB, which isn't but maintains good contact wirelessly with my router. I'm always terrified of telling people that my stuff works, lest I jinx things. But as of this moment, it works really well, and has done so since I installed it about three weeks ago. It looks fine sitting under the TV with all the other black boxes. It was relatively easy to install, although I couldn't connect using the WPS button, but then I never can. For anyone in a similar situation, I would definitely recommend this solution.

Consigliato, sicuramente.Prodotto testato con Asus N66U.
