Garmin 010-10644-11 Mount, Varia Radar, Seat Post Clamp

I’ve used similar, no name brands but dealt with stripped screws, broken fasteners, and loose fits. I decide to get the official mount and you can’t tell the material is a bit better, the screw is firmer, and the latching mechanism will last. Bonus it sits much more compact than the other knockoffs for a cleaner look.

Like others here, I rely on my Varia when I'm riding. What did NOT seem reliable was the mount that was provided. The band used to secure the mount to the seat post did not seem so secure, so I was worried that the bands were going to break/fail during my rides.This is SO MUCH more secure. Only fits round seat posts though. Yes there are third party versions that are cheaper but the one I tried that was $11 would not fit my post even using the provided shims. I'm willing to pay more to be secure.Don't buy the knockoffs - buy the original.

This alternative mount for the Varia is great to have, and is much more secure than the mount that comes in the box with the Varia.Downside: Garmin is proud of this item and it is expensive; value for the money is questionable, but I’m glad I bought this mount.

Have the rear cycle light by garmin and it comes with adapter and a rubber band to wrap around seat post. I ordered the garmin seat post mount which is more of a circle shape and would not fit on my wife's sear post. This one mounts on the seat and it mounts easy and very secure.

Not perfect but a good solution to the original mount. The rubber band one that came with the original light fell off once for me on a ride, thankfully I was at a stop and noticed it. This one was a little awkward to fit on my bike and came with no instructions. I had to slide it down pretty far on my seat tube to get it to fit so it was not in the way of my saddle bag. VERY sturdy product and I don’t have to worry about my light falling off. If it fits your bike, I would recommend getting this mount over the original one with the band.

I have attached the female Garmin adapter to the back of my Cliq rear bike light in order to have a more secure way of attaching and removing my light from my bike so this Garmin Seat Post adapter is perfect for completing this conversion of mine. Though a little pricey it was worth the money for me. This seat post mount can possibly open up alternative options for securing a rear light to your bike other than the silicon bans that most rear lights come with nowadays.

I think it comes with a rubber band that holds it against the seat post, but when I bought my Varia I didn't know what it candee with so bought an extra one because I have 3 bikes anyways.You can't really monitor the operation of your taillight while reading because if you mounted it right then it should be beld you. However, the Varia has radar, so you can determine whether it not is working that way. For some reason this might and the OEM both looked like they ster pointing down based on how it was mounted on the seat pose, but the Radar works great, and the light is the best.

There's nothing wrong with the holder that came with the Garmin Varia RTL510/515 tail light. The rubber O-rings seems to be holding well through the years. But my opinion is that this is much better in securing that pricey unit since this screws around the seat post. Having said that, this product's limitations are quite obvious: It cannot accommodate seat posts that are not round-shaped or even those that are round but are bigger in diameter. Make sure one has to research carefully before purchasing this.
