Have had this pan for some time now and it's held up well. Generally we like AllClad stainless steel for most of our cooking but have been very disappointed in their non-stick pans. Short life of the coating no matter how gentle you are in cooking and cleaning. The Anolon nonstick holds up very well despite the tough nature of grilling at high heat and clean up afterwards. Cleanup is best if you do the following: when the pan has cooled, wipe off the excess grease and crud with a paper towel. Fill the pan with hot water and some liquid dish soap, let sit for 30+ minutes. With water and soap still in the pan scrub with a non-scratch sponge or Tuffy. If needed, use an old soft toothbrush to clean between the raised grooves. Rinse well, dry, and your done.

great steak pan
This is a great steak pan. Since I moved to NYC, I can no longer grill steak as before. I choose this pan is because I purchased a Anolon Nonstick egg pan before, and I know that Anolon's nonstick is super.This pan is a heavy duty, and can hold two pieces of normal size steaks at one time. I normally add veggies to the middle space between two steaks. My 10 year old daugher is very picky about food, but she likes the steaks from this pan.The only thing is that this pan does not come with a cover. Instead of buying a cover directly, i purchase a Cuisinart pan with cover (its discounted price is lower than an individual cover charges). Cuisinart's non-stick is joke, but its glass cover is pretty decent.

An Excellent Cooking Tool
The pan gives an excellent sear with attractive grill marks on meat and fish, which emerge from the cooking process with less cooking oil and great flavor. I wish I had bought one years ago! There are, however, two things to beware. 1. The concentration of heat from the ribs requires a high smoke point oil, like safflower oil. 2. The handle remains cool enough to hold when grilling only when held by the two thirds nearest to the tip.

Not my favorite, but not the worst either
I use this pan when I can't get outside to grill but I still want those nice grill marks. I have made burgers, steak, chicken, and hot dogs on this pan. It had a little bit of an odor to it initially, but it went away after a few uses. The pan has signs of wear on it after my husband cooked steaks on too high of heat on it. I tried removing it with B*r Ke*pe*s b*s* f*ie*d and most of it came clean. It's a hassle to clean between the raised bumps sometimes. I wish the bottom was flat so it would dry easier too. It's a quality pan. Well made and durable but I think there were some design flaws.

This one really pans out!
This grill pan truly is non-stick! It is washable (unlike the cast iron one it replaced), but all you really need to do is to wipe it out with a cloth or paper towel. Great pan!

excellent pan
The griddle pan cooks up great looking seared food. Cleans up easily with water and a sponge, even if you use high temperatures to grill with. Large enough for large pieces of meat. This is a must have for any cook.
