Most versital / stable Solar charge controller 5 Star
I have been building solar for friends and family, experimenting with different products for 4 years now, I have a background in electrical engineering, I first saw a review from two YouTubers and got one because I really trusted those two YTs, it worked out after months of testing for me in my situation I have 12 huge AGM Telco battery setup and the EPever 40/150 is now what I recommend also, service and support is right there fast if you need them, next I will play with larger Inverters and sooner or later I am going to have to start a YT channel to pass on all this information :)Me Bob@grandassets

Epever makes a great product and the Tracer BN series is no exception
This is my second Epever Tracer4215BN 40A MPPT solar charge controller! These are extremely robust, high quality solar MPPT controllers which were designed to last a long time!If you are undecided about PWM vs MPPT, you should only consider MPPT if you need/want every possible watt of energy from your panels. The MAJOR advantage of MPPT over PWM is the ability to connect your panels in series, increasing the total voltage, thereby reducing the current in the wires back to your charge controller. Big deal? Well, YES! You see, as current increases, so do the heat/resistive losses in a wire and if you use a modified 100' 14ga extension cord as I do, you can lose a surprisingly large amount of solar energy to your wires. You can avoid this by simply connecting multiple panels in series (e.g. 4 x 100W panels at 22V) to produce around 88v which at 400W (theoretical) would require only 4.5A of current. The same 400W in parallel would push 18A through your extension wire, causing it to heat up significantly, dropping the total power delivered at your battery. The MT-50 is a must-have accessory so be sure to pick one up with this unit!

Great Product
As recommended by Will Prowse from DIY Solar Power, the Epever 4215BN worked exactly as he said it would, easy to set up, configure, and worked on the first try. It started producing power to the batteries immediately. The unit was delivered extremely fast from China in only a couple of weeks, unlike ordering from Aliexpress which takes months. Extremely satisfied with the purchase.

Remote monitor for Renology charge controller wont work. Why?
I have used this charge controller made by the same china manufacturer for Renology, It has the exact same part numbers, They are NOT compatable and will throw you off. No where does the instructions tell you this.
