Not even worth it's incredibly low price.
Operating System:Windows 10 HomeCons:Has to use a USB 2.0 (no USB 3.0 allowed or it won't work at all). It wouldn't even work using the front I/O USB 2.0 Ports on my desktop. Had to be connected directly to the back motherboard I/O panel in a 2.0 port. Funny thing is that the preview window will start showing the document you're scanning and then it will just disappear and throw out a "Hardware Not Found" error.Be prepared to restart your computer at least once. Plug it in? Have to restart with it plugged in before it will work (Hardware Not Found error). Calibrate it using their sheet? Have to restart... Still throws out the Hardware Not Found error every now and then but usually can just try again and it works (with single sheets at least). So far I've only had success using their cable and since I have to plug it in at the back of the tower it makes it a bit tricky. Now that I know I have to restart the computer every time I plug it in it may work with a different micro USB cable but I haven't tested to be sure.Pros:Gave it 2 stars because eventually after 20+ minutes on hold with tech support I did manage to figure it out and get it to work before tech support even picked up (hint - restart your computer). Scans didn't come out bad but getting the entire sheet to scan is a bit tricky and has to be lined up just right or you may cut off an edge.Overall:Simply do not buy this. Stick to a reputable brand like Brother or Samsung (among others). They will cost more, as this thing is dirt cheap, but it will save you the nightmare that this thing is.

Not wireless, Great Scans, Easy Install & Use
This scanner does not require internet to use, however it is NOT wireless. It needs to be plugged into your computer device in order to scan. This is perfect if you want something quick in your desk area without having to go to a copier.Itโs scans amazingly well, and you can choose from tiff, jpeg, and pdf. There another two I canโt remember but those are the most common files types I use. You can choose color or gray scale. It scans IDโs perfect. I love that it only creates a file the size of the item you are scanning. So IDโs or business cards will be just that size, not a whole page.If you have a Mac, the installation disc might not work but I contacted support and that got me squared away. I recommend this for those looking for an easy scan at their workstation. My boss liked mine so much, he ordered one as well.

Needs a PC. Also needs sufficient USB power. Otherwise it's a nice and economic portable scanner.
You always need a computer for it to scan documents. Good product if you use Windows 10.I didn't try on MacBook, but some reviews claim there's no SW support. The only defect I know is that it needs lots of USB power to feed paper. If I use longer and cheaper USB cables, the scanner will report paper jam and then power down. After I change to use shorter and thicker USB cables, everything works like charm.I believe it'll have problem feeding paper if your laptop is running on low battery.

Love it when it works consistently
I really wanted to like this product, and I have been using it since December. It's portable and easy to connect. I have found some issues with it that I can't explain, like when it is connected, it doesn't recognize the photo I am trying to feed through. First it doesn't, then minutes later, it does. I can't totally rely on it in the field like I wanted to. I visit a number of archival and historical society's and this item was compact, light weight and had good resolution in the scan. It just doesn't take the photo consistently.

Don't buy for your Apple Mac!
This is a misleading product in that when you have a mac, you get a very bare bones piece of software that doesn't even allow multiple page scans. All of the cool software listed here only works with windows. This appears to be very nice hardware but if you are a mac user : don't buy this product!

Nice scanner for the price
Bought this to scan receipts for my business. I couldn't find many portable sheet fed scanners that would work with Windows 10, but happened upon this one. It has mixed reviews, but I took a chance anyway and am glad I did. I've put several hundred receipts through it in the 2 days I've had it and it has worked pretty well so far. I've had a few hardware not found errors, but I just put the receipt back through and it was fine.

Work well with Mac
This is really easy to install for Mac. I cannot get it to work with Windows 7 or 10 but it works well and easily installed into my MacBook Air. I keep getting error message says "LINK ID MISSING" when using Windows. One tip about installing it with Mac is that Do Not Follow the instruction. Just install the disk software and plug in the scanner, it works right away.

Some technical issues but overall ok product
Works great most of the time - occasionally scans a sheet of text that shows in the preview, but when actually opened only shows a white page
