Lightens several shades more than conventional highlighting kits (such as Clairol Hairpainting), while not turning you into a platinum blonde like a product such as Born Blonde does.

Just to be sure that you know---this "kit" does not come with gloves, bowl, cap or needle. I did not read the description closely enough. So for your money spent; you get the solutions only. Not much of a highlighting kit for this money. You will have to spend the money for the gloves, cap and needle PLUS the money for this KIT

The developer was opened and half empty. Didn't feel comfortable using the product and had to throw it away.

Although I bought it elsewhere , I have been using this stuff for 17 years. I had the hardest time lifting to het to platinum blonde, until I found this product . I have a lot of red in my hair and spent tons of money at various salons. Then one sales person told me to try this. I use it for on the scalp application for root touch up. I used bring this with me to my stylists for touchup and then the salon began to carry this item. Many stylists began using this on stubborn hair, red colors. Mixing it is easy , nothing to measure , just dump it in a bowl and mix. It smells like apples, not like bleach. Which made it easy for me, as bleach smell irritated my breathing. It has minimal itching, not like other lifing product. Word of caution , it is very thick, and drys fast into a cement like consistency. Would recommend to have someone who is fast in application process to do. May want to wear a plasic cap while it is processing to prevent it from drying . Would recommend to check for spots in about 5-10 minutes after application , to prevent dark spots. Still works if dry though. Some add a splash of 10 volume to thin it, but don't have to. 10 volume creates a tingling.I have seen this stuff tale a burgundy to blonde.It may work differently for you, consult your stylist. Lifting is amazing. Depending on your color it takes 30 minutes to lift to platinum , really dark hair may take 45 at most. I have no idea how it works for highlights , but high lift guaranteed . This is product only, bowls, gloves etc bought separately .

This is the only highlighting kit I use & I love it! Its so easy to use!
