It's so worth it
I've owned this thing for a little over a year and its already paid for itself 10x over. My biggest fear when I made the initial purchase was I never heard of this brand and thought it might be one of those things that works great 1 or 2 times then falls apart. That has not been the case yet. My parents recently went from a 2 car household to a 1 car house, and they have just stored that extra car in the garage for the time being. Obviously the battery went low and on 2 or 3 separate occasions this has jump started them on the first shot. Also, I'm a service manager for an HVAC company and we have roughly 20 trucks. There have been another 2 or 3 times when this has bailed us out on trucks with old batteries as well. So all in all within a year I've used this thing maybe 4-6 times and it's worked flawlessly. The battery life on it is GREAT. I've charged it up 2 or 3 different times, but only because "why risk it". Every time I charged it, the battery indicator still showed it had a lot of juice left. Truthfully this thing would probably still be kicking on the initial charge from over a year ago (but again, why risk it). Also, it's so small and compact it doesn't take up any space in your trunk or wherever you decide to keep it. I know there are bigger and more powerful units out there, but I've used this on a few full sized pickup trucks (work trucks) and it's worked like a champ. Also, although I have never used any of the other features other than jumping a car battery, it does have some other things that it can do as well. There is a flashlight on the device and in addition to the standard port where the jumper cable harness plugs into, there are also a few USB ports on there and a USB-C port as well for that you can charge cell phones or other devices off this as well. I've never used anything other than the battery jumper, but I could imagine if you were to ever break down and were stranded, having those USB and USB C ports would really be useful for cell phones. I really have nothing bad to say about this thing. Very much worth the money. My only initial hesitation was the weird brand maybe being a low quality, but in 5 or 6 "real life" uses over the course of maybe 15-16 months this thing has operated with no issues what so ever. Very happy with this purchase. I guess if there were one negative, maybe the charging cable could be a bit longer? But my goodness, that is nitpicking.

Peace of Mind in a Box - This Jump Starter is a Must-Have!
So I'm not a car expert by any means, but I know a dead battery can ruin your day. I've had to wait for AAA before, and it's not fun. That's why I decided to invest in a portable Jump Starter, and let me tell you, it's worth every penny! I keep mine in the trunk of my car, and it's given me such peace of mind. Knowing that I can jump-start my car myself, without having to wait for roadside assistance or bother a stranger, is a huge relief. The first time I used it, I was a little nervous, but it was surprisingly easy. The instructions are clear, and the smart jumper cables have all sorts of safety features, so I didn't have to worry about messing anything up. My car started right up! I was so impressed that I bought one for my wife's car too. It's just a smart thing to have. And it's not just a jump starter โ it's also a portable power bank, a flashlight, and a 12V power supply! It's like a little emergency kit in a box. The build quality is excellent, and it feels really durable. I love that it comes with a storage case to keep everything organized. If you're looking for a reliable and versatile jump starter, I highly recommend the GOOLOO GP3000. It's a small investment that can save you a lot of headaches. Five stars โ and I sleep better knowing it's in my car!

A Great Jump Starter
Great product and a must for traveling and a battery goes dead. Very high quality and nicely packaged. I bought this one for my wife's 4cylinder SUV but if I had to do it again I would spend a little more and get the GP4000 which I bought for my V8 truck. The reason is the GP4000 for a little more money comes with a hard shell case and an adapter for 12volt car charging. This unit comes with a nice soft case but you get more value in the GP4000. Great price.

Reliable Power That Follows You Everywhere
The GOOLOO GP3000 has been my lifesaver for over a year now, especially with my RZR Pro Rโa side-by-side that's a battery-draining beast thanks to all the electronics and accessories. This compact jump box(under 2 lbs, fits in the glovebox) delivers 3000 peak amps with ease, firing up the RZR's battery in seconds on the first try, every time. No more trail-side panics or waiting for a tow. But it's not just for off-roading; I've jump-started a dozen friends' and family's cars, trucks, and even a stubborn SUV in driveways and parking lots. The smart clamps make connections foolproof, and the built-in safety features (overcharge, reverse polarity protection) give total peace of mind. Plus, the 20,000mAh battery doubles as a phone chargerโI've topped off my cell during long hauls. I love it so much, I've outfitted every family vehicle with one. It's rugged, charges fast via USB-C, and holds its juice for months unused. If battery woes keep you up at night, grab thisโno one in my crew gets stranded anymore. Absolute must-have!

One of the better options for the price
I've purchased half a dozen jump starters some from big well recognized brands like Anker, Ravpower, and Duracell and some from no-name Chinese brands. Gooloo started out as a no-name Chinese brand but they've proven to last at least a few years which is more than you can say for nearly all no-name Chinese brands. And, even more important, in testing and use they make some decent products and this jump starter is one of them. I have the test equipment to test the internal battery capacity of jump starters, how much realistic current they can provide and at what voltage for starting a vehicle, and their charging characteristics. A huge difference between many jump starters is how many battery cells they have. Li-Ion calls produce about 3.2 volts each when fully charged under ideal conditions with a heavy load such as trying to start a vehicle. So with a cell jump starter that's 9.6 volts while cranking and that quickly drops as the charge is depleted in the jump starter. Most jump starters under around a hundred bucks, and many even more expensive products, are 3 cell designs and just don't have the oomph to do the job in many cases. Let's say it's been in your vehicle for 6 months and now only has about a 50% charge level. Now you might get 8 volts or less while cranking. Or lets say it's the dead of winter, when your vehicle battery is most likely to need help, and the cold temps also greatly reduce the output of the jump starter because li-ion batteries struggle in cold temps so you also get under 8 volts. Basically 8 or 9 volts is often not enough to start many vehicles. So what you really want is a FOUR CELL jump starter and that's exactly what the Gooloo GP2000 is. So instead of 9 volts, or even less, you get around 12 volts while cranking just like the battery in your vehicle typically provides. It's often easily the difference between your vehicle starting or not. This has been proven out in countless reviews of jump starters. Another really important issue you don't see much about is self discharge. These jump starters don't have a hard "off switch" the electronics inside are always active waiting for you use to use it as jump starter or USB power bank. Those electronics draw a small amount of power even when the jump starter isn't being used for anything. Likewise Li-Ion batteries have their own self discharge. Higher quality cells have much less self discharge than cheap Chinese cells. To put it simply I've had jump starters end up useless after just 6 months in a vehicle because they were down to 50% or less of their capacity just from sitting in the glove box. That's not very useful. Both of my Gooloo jump starters, including this one, only lose about 2 or 3% of charge per month. So after 6 months you're only down 12 - 18% instead of 50% or more with other brands. The maH and W/hr ratings of the batteries in all of these jump starters are usually grossly overstated in typical Chinese fashion. The battery cells they use are designed for the very high discharge currents needed to start a vehicle rather than low draw loads like a typical USB power bank requires. So, long story short, they behave nothing like a USB power bank. The GP2000 is rated at 19,800 mAH or 73 watt hours but, with a typical 2 amp load say charging a phone from the USB port, it only delivers around one third of that. So it's about equivalent to a 6000 or 7000 mAH USB power bank not the nearly 20,000 mAH Gooloo claims. But that issue is true across all jump starters I and others have tested. Yes it will still charge your phone in a pinch just beware jump starters are optimized for starting vehicles not being used as power banks. The Chinese really should be more honest about this. Finally, it's worth considering the battery in any jump starter is big enough to cause a spectacularly hot and destructive fire if it fails in the wrong way. Remember Samsung Galaxy Tab phones being banned from aircraft because many violently burst into flame and often ignited anything nearby? That Samsung battery had a tiny fraction of the power of any jump starter. The risks are higher when the jump starter is being charged so it's best to only charge them when you're home in case something goes wrong. But, in general, any large Li-Ion battery has the power of a gasoline Molotov cocktail and a similar ability to burn your house and/or vehicle to the ground if things go wrong. So it's worth buying from at least a somewhat reputable brand that stands something to lose if their products start becoming incendiary devices as many Li-Ion powered device have such as the whole Chinese "hoverboard" disaster.

BIG Gooloo fan. We have one in every car.
We REALLY like our Gooloo Jump Starters. We have one in every car. We have used them multiple times to help people in parking lots who might need a jump. Our daughter is even good at helping out other kids at the high school if they need a jump. She is known as the "Jumper" (she is also a high jumper). These always work. They are just the right size for storage in a vehicle. Not real sure if I prefer the soft case or the hard. I like the look and the protection provided by the hard case, but it does take up more space. I like the fact that you can't mess up attaching them (nice and safe). Ease of mind for me if my children have to use one. Solid build quality. The only issue I have is that looking back I would not mess with the lower amp <3000A units. Not necessarily anything wrong with those, but I prefer the 3000A or higher. With all of the different vehicles we have used them on, the 3000A seems to work great. We initially purchased the different sizes based on the vehicles they were going to be in. And, some of the smaller amp models were a great price. The 2000A works great for our 2006 Honda Cr-V. I tried it on few larger vehicles (larger batteries) and it struggled a little with some of them. Note, the 2000A was NOT recommended for the larger size vehicles. BUT, if getting one, you may want to just step up to a larger size even if it is for a smaller car, because you never know what other size of vehicle you might need to use it on. They were changing the look of the different styles/models for awhile. I have no idea if it was just cosmetic or if there were interior changes. The previous models appeared to be a really good deal for awhile. The problem was, that at that time, there were several models listed on Amazon. At times it was a little difficult to sort the different models out. I ended up going to the Gooloo website and made comparisons there. Then I ordered accordingly. The BIG displays on some models are nice, but they do make those models more expensive. And finally, I unfortunately cannot report on the longevity of the individual units. Sorry. We have had all of them for over a year and they all still work. Most have been almost fully discharged at least once. I check them on a regular basis and have not noticed any natural drain of the units (Kansas hot and cold temperatures).

Good
This is one of those things that is hard to review until you've actually had a use for it. Time will tell, but it seems to be high quality. Actually I was surprised at the quality. Strong grips, reasonable length cables, and a high quality enclosure for the battery. Even the fabric case is excellent quality. I haven't had a need to use it, but based on the very many reviews from people who have had great results, I am expecting it to be a great addition to my emergency kit.
