Timberland PROMen's Powertrain Sport Alloy Safety Toe Industrial Work Shoe

These Timberland shoes are the best heavy-duty walking shoes I've ever owned. They're not marketed as walking shoes, and I understand why. They're clunky, heavy, and not stylish compared to something like, for example, Allbirds, which are so comfy it's almost like you're not wearing shoes.However, I live in the tropics. Shoes come apart in this climate just sitting in the closet. Allbirds would last for like four days of rainforest walking. Here, we need tougher shoes. It's not only the climate. The terrain is rugged and mountainous, and things can get wet underfoot. Even the sidewalks are uneven, and you never know how you're gonna stub your toe today.The Timberlands are water-protected and have alloy metal toe protection. In fact, I believe that they're waterproof once you get south of the laces. I test that theory every day by walking in rain, sloshing through puddles, and hosing off stray grass and mud before I enter the house. I've also had ample opportunities to test the alloy toe protection, and these shoes have been a lifesaver in that regard. The non-slip soles give me mountain goat confidence in any weather conditions and on any surface.For such heavy shoes, they're quite comfortable. I don't mind the weight because my walks are workouts. I'm not trying to float on air or beat a time; I'm trying to become a beast.The included insoles are pretty basic, but these roomy shoes accommodate aftermarket insoles well. I've read a couple of reviews complaining about sizing, but my Size 13 Timberlands fit precisely as expected with no upsizing or downsizing necessary.This is my second go-round with this model. I buy two pairs at a time so that I can walk in each pair on alternate days (I walk a LOT) and let the insoles rebound. I replace the insoles with more supportive ones each year and replace both pairs of Timberland shoes every two years (I would need to replace the shoes every year if I had only one pair).I know there are probably other shoes I should be looking at which are specifically designed for hiking, but these are such a grand slam that I don't want to mess with a good thing. Highly recommended.

The media could not be loaded. Bought these for my warehouse job needed steel toe boots but I got shoes instead. They are comfortable and sturdy!

I cant say much for these boots other than they look good and feel well constucted and sturdy but I sent then back because I needed at least 2 sizes smaller than what is suggested they run very large I ordered the upgraded tim insoles and they feel good a little different than what im used Dr Scholl masaging gel work insole but they were definitely comfortable they seem to work better after a long time on your feet the longer your shift goes by the better they feel

Comfortable right out of the box. I’m hard to fit and have higher arches. These are near perfect and are holding up find from daily use as an electrician (service work - not industrial work which these wouldn’t do). I’m thinking of buying more pairs to stockpile before they are discontinued or improved as always seems to happen with the narrow selection of shoes I like.

I'm on my feet for 12 hours a day on concrete floors, and these are the only shoes I'll wear. They're not that durable and they wear out and crack. You will have to replace them every few months. They have no durable leather parts; they're all vegan plastic. You will want to replace the liners with something better like the inserts from Impacto Memory. But in the end, these are the steel-toe boots to have.

I purchased these shoes as I needed ESD where I occasionally work. These are EH rated, and I thought they would also be ESD. I am happy to say that they do pass the testing equipment I must use prior to going into intrinsically safe solvent zones at work. Let me say that again, they are ESD as well as EH. They are very comfortable, and not hot to wear all day. These are much better than the shoes my company provides through the shoe mobile that shows up once a month. They were well worth the cost for the comfort and support they provide all day. Enjoy!

I bought this pair of shoes in March 2023. In February 2024 the sole cracked and now the shoes need to be replaced.This is the second pair of this style shoe I have owned. The previous pair lasted from early 2018 until I replaced them with this pair in 2023. I am disappointed in how quickly this pair of shoes lasted because the previous pair was so durable.
