Are virtual backgrounds supported in calls?

Virtual backgrounds are a function of the video conferencing software that you are using, and really don’t have anything to do with the camera.

Would this work well for streaming detailed art?

I doubt it would work well for that. The lens seems to be set for wide-angles, not closeups. For detailed art, you might want a camera with a macro lens, which is rare in webcams.

Does it have a light settings app? Or do you just plug it I and go and it’s settings are auto?

I have found no settings for it whatsoever. As far as I can tell everything is automatic. Beware that the sampling quality of the microphone is really bad. I had to use a separate microphone, and told my software to use that external microphone rather than the one from this WebCam. The picture quality is not bad, but the microphone is dreadful quality.

Will this work with a chromebook OS?

There is a good chance that the camera will work, but please note that the microphone in this WebCam is terrible. It is so bad that I had to purchase a separate microphone so that we could do video conferencing. The built-in microphone produces garbled audio.
