Replacement Aquadoodle Pens - 2 Pack

We were recently gifted a used AquaDoodle pad and while it came with a pen, the pen was really old, beat up and chewed on by the previous owner and didn't work very well at all. Instead of looking around locally for somewhere I could get a replacement, I searched Amazon and this item was one of the top listed in my search. The price was great and I had enough leftover from some gift cards so I bought it on the spot. The pens screw upon from the top, but the screw mechanism is backwards from most screw top things so be aware of that going in. Other than that and the fact that my 3 year old is constantly misplacing the lids, we have had zero complaints about this product! Without the lid in place on the pen, it leaks a bit when my kid puts the pen in the elastic holder inside the pad, but if we're careful and carry it with the pen end pointing up that issue is minimized. My kid has yet to figure out how to open these, which is great, and the doodle pad makes the most excellent time occupier while we are driving around taking care of errands or going on road trips. I would recommend this item to anyone needing a replacement AquaDoodle pen. Very happy with it!

I bought these pens because the original aquadoodle mat I bought only came with one, and I have twins. These work the same as the pens that came with it; you unscrew the top, put water in it, then put the top back on and the water wicks out onto the tip. They don't leak, even if you squeeze them really hard. There is a danger of them unscrewing the cap and the water leaking out, but it is just water and the cap isn't small enough to choke on, so it's not the end of the world.I thought the price was a bit high, but they do what they're supposed to, and of course it's always a smart idea to have extras around when you have children!

These water pens are much more durable than the ones that usually come along with AquaDoodle pads. I purchased these as a replacement and am quite satisfied despite the rather hefty price tag for such a simple item. These are also a wonderful replacement for the super cheap, thin-tipped water pens that come with the Water Wow Doodle Books, which incidentally are really great fun for kids while on the road or waiting around.

It is a little fatter than the original pen that came with the travel AquaDoodle, but it works great! I think $9.99 was a little too high for this item though! I would say it is really only worth about $5.99, so for that reason, I probably would not buy it again!

The only issue is that the instructions were not very clear. We somehow acquired an Aquadoodle mat without instructions and wanted to know about the pens and how they worked.

Purchased as replacements for the actual pens that came with our aqua doodle. I'm not sure why stores don't sell replacements since the darn things always seem to get lost. Pens seem to work fine but "draw with me" is spelled wrong on the pen itself which was somewhat disappointing.

They work on the mat, but a drop of water will form on the end of the pen. I never noticed this on the genuine pen that came with the mat. Overall I'm glad we got them, but they'll be our back ups for when our 2yr old "misplaces" the original.

I was skeptical after reading a few reviews saying these were knockoffs but got them anyways. No disappointment here! These are great! They are fatter than the original pen that came with the travel set and the caps are a bonus! No more drying out when my daughter isn't playing with it. They work just as good if not better, and having a spare in case the first gets lost or ruined (the first got chewed to bits from teething). Wish I had bought two!
