Very strong
Even as I paid for these, I was sceptical about their strength, but I was pleasantly surprised. I keep expecting them to snap when I stretch them around stacks of books but they remain intact. Will be buying some more.

The measurements in the blurb are not accurate in the horizontal position; 8.5 to 9 cms would be more accurate than 10/100 mm. However they are very strong, though I haven’t the strength to see if they really extend to 450 mm. I was going to send them back, but because of their strength, which compares very favourably with what I have bought from the stationers, in a ball of pretty colours, I have decided to keep them, because I suspect they will prove versatile. BTW the AI summary at the top of the reviews spelt stationery with an ‘a’. That means something completely different.
