Honestly, this thing is kind of a set-it-and-forget-it dream. My fridge didn't come with a built-in filter, so my ice always had that annoying chlorine taste — and this totally fixes it. Installation is straightforward DIY, and the best part is you don't have the hassle of swapping out cartridges. I've been using it for my ice maker and not sure itll last the full five years but we'll see— ice always comes out tasting clean with no weird taste. The value compared to buying brand-specific filters every 6 months is genuinely hard to beat. One small gripe: the fittings are push-in style rather than threaded, Just something to be aware of going in. Overall though? Great filter, great price, minimal effort. Would recommend.

Works perfectly for 5 years pretty much. I noticed my water wasn’t tasting great then notice it had been over 5 since since I installed it. Got a new one and just put it in. Easy to install and water taste great. Happy my fridge water is getting double filtered.

I do not normally write reviews but in this case I decided to do so as I bought the product even after reading many of the negative reviews on this water filter as it appeared most of them were due to operator error or the fact that how long a water filter lasts, in spite of the time specified by the manufacturer, very much depends on the local water quality. There is no getting around that. So here is my two cents. It was easy to install and there were no leaks even after connecting it, disconnecting it, and reconnecting it several times just to be sure. The provided brass compression fitting to PTF (Push to Fit) adapters at each end provide the flexibility to make the water connections by either using a standard 1/4" NPT (National Pipe Thread for those of you who do not know what that is) compression fitting or by following the provided instructions and removing the brass adapters via the built-in PTF feature. This is done by pushing in on the quick-disconnect collets at each end and pulling out the adapters, which I also did several times after reinstalling them and there were no leaks. This is a really good feature because even if one connects the filter using the 1/4" NPT compression option (a tried and true type of plumbing connection), which only requires two small wrenches, once it is connected after that, one can use the PTF connections to replace the filter and no tools are required. This feature will also allow one to use other PTF type water filters as many are made with this feature nowadays. The filter's 5-year life also makes it a cost effective purchase compared to others. Lastly, I had a question as to whether this filter would fit into the Lasco #37-2201 2-inch water filter bracket designed to fit more standard size water filters and sometimes sold with this filter because in the online photos this filter appears larger in diameter than most others and it is (approximately 3 inches in diameter). I called EcoPure and got through to a real live human in short order but the front-line customer service people did not have that specification available but thought it would fit. In spite of all of that; yes, it does fit because the diameter of the filter cannister at the “out” end is stepped down to two inches and if one looks carefully, this is visible in the online photos. Easy peasy.

This is my trusted inline water filter of choice because of performance and longevity. It has been performing like a champ these past 5 years, which is it's overall lifespan, and needed to be replaced. In the package you get the filter cartridge, and two metal grommets that go on the in and out lines of the filter. They are easy to install as you just press them in and attach the water lines to them. You do require some wrenches to tighten the grommet to the water line, which are not included in the package. My original filter came with the grommets already attached and secured to the filter cartridge. This one didn't and upon attaching the water lines to them, I did notice a minor slip as if they were going to come out of place. Hopefully not. Overall, this filter does perform phenomenally with perfect flow and pressure, crystal clear water and great taste. Definitely recommend based on performance and 5 year life span.

It works. Added this in addition to our built in LG's water filter and we can believe the difference it makes in the waters taste and quality. Amazing. AZ water is inherently terrible tasting and this corrects that. Its also a 5 year filter. That we will see. It was a piece of cake to install.

I bought this filter in July 2022 after getting tired of changing my EveryDrop, in fridge filter just about every month after the water flow reduced to a trickle. I have had the EcoPure filter for 4 years and it's still giving great flavor free water. I may be noticing a slight decrease in water pressure, but we use the water dispenser a lot and it lasted 4 years. It's by no means a trickle like o used to get with the EveryDrop and it's still fine, but I may but a replacement just to full my water bottle a little faster! It's about double the price I paid in 2022, but still a good deal compared to the in fridge filters

We moved and our new place had the worst tasting water (and it is even city water). The city water department assured that all was up to par, but just tasted Ugh. Went through a bunch of LG refrigerator filters and other brands, but still didn't budge the "burnt" chlorine taste. My husband decided to add an inline filter, and so began the Amazon search for the best in-line filter for our needs. Voila, this 5 year EcoPure was the winner. Super EZ install from the refrigerator angle valve (not under sink). Be sure and watch the video in the listing showing how to install. BTW My husband also purchased braided line instead of using the plastic one in the kit. He ran the line to the top of the refrigerator and attached the filter there for EZ replacement when it comes time for that. The other part we bought from Amazon for installation was "Refrigerator Water Line Kit - 10FT Stainless Steel Braided Ice Maker Water Line with Brass Ball Valve, Food grade PEX Inner Hose Fridge Water Line with 1/4" Comp Fitting and 1/4" Comp Valve". He wanted the shutoff valve, and the braided line - he already had a 10 ft braided line installed so this way he had braided line on the intake and the outgoing feed of the filter. Installation was very fast and he let the water flow until clear, and also threw out the first 3 ice cube dumps. Now the water and ice is wonderful and we are VERY grateful for that!

The Brita in-line filter for my refrigerator was due for replacement but unavailable. The EPINL30 was priced right with delivery next-day. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. Installation was easy. I used the brass adapters and connected using my existing 1/4" braided steel lines. Flushing water through the new filter took longer than anything else.

Used this product to filter water going to our fridge instead of buying the expensive fridge specific filters. So far we are really happy with it, it was SO easy to install and comes with both the push type fittings or compression fittings for 1/4 inch hose. No leaks at the filter. We live in a rural area with well water and it definitely makes a difference to how the water tastes. Would recommend.

5 years of filtration for that price is amazing. Flavour of the water and ease of installation was good.
