OakleyOakley Kato Polished Eyewear

Love the Katos; they make me shine like a Bollywood star straight out of India. While donning my spandex on the bike, I channel my inner martial artist with roundhouse kicks, followed by the classic Bruce Lee nose flick, just like Kato in "The Green Hornet." Once, a local hobo even remarked that I looked like I'd zoomed out of the '70s "Tron" movie, probably because of the single visor. And when I cruise the town in my Honda Civic convertible, channeling my inner '80s Jose Canseco, sending air-kisses to the ladies like a home run hero, they wince or grimace in return. It's all about that retro flair, don't hate the player.

First of all I'm on my 3rd pair. Found out real fast that these glasses are weak . I have 32 pairs of oakleys and have bought approximately 300 pairs since the early 90s. Hopped on my streetbike. Put my Katos on and bam . Frame broke off the lens. I brought them back to the oakley vault. They warranty them as they should . I pointed at the giant images of pros spiking volleyball and everything wearing these. Told the salesman.. you might want to tell people that those athletes get them free. Super fragile and yet amazing. I recommend these for poolside BBQ. Not sporty ! Fragile .

I have been an Oakley fan for over 20 plus years, I have bought a few pricey eyewear from this brand but they have lasted many years. Which is why I did not hesitate to purchase their current creation - Kato. The eyewear is futuristic, fashionable, and lightweight. The feature I liked the most is the angle adjustment to conform to the user's face; It has simple mechanisms for right & left that can be adjusted without tools. The clarity of the lenses are great (I just wish they offered polarized lenses), the weight is feather light, and comfortable to wear. The down side of the Kato is the one piece lense is bonded with the earpieces, makes them an expensive lesson if they get scratched. Unlike other Oakley glasses with frames that made changing lenses out, was practical. Unlike Oakley's other eyewear that have accessories & customization options, the Kato is sold in 4 different lense colors. You settle for the configuration that Oakley sells each model. Lastly for the price of the Kato, why is an Oakley hard case not standard with the Kato? This is the one gripe I have had with Oakley glasses over the years for glasses costing over $200 dollars. This I must highly recommend the seller "Surf & Dirt". I am so grateful for them in selling the Kato with a HARD CASE. Oakley you need to thank "Surf & Dirt".
