Invicta Men's 0857 II Collection Stainless Steel and Black Leather Watch

I have a watch fetish, I admit it. I wanted an addition to my several daily work watch selection. I'm tough on watches at work, where they get banged on pillars and metal shelves and walls and a variety of other dangerous watch-hating obstacles. But I still wanted something stylish. I usually wear a rather nice old Armitron faux chronometer with a rubber band, or an Invicta Rally with a metal bracelet, and occasionally one of my more expensive Invictas or a Nautica or Fossil. I wanted a lower cost Invicta that wouldn't kill me to scratch or smash it. This is a pretty large watch, as Invictas tend to be, but in black it doesn't look oversized. I love the case and the black face. The subdials display only day and date, but still make the watch look sporty. I love the black leather band with the red rally-style stitching! Only negatives for me are the arrow pointer on the hour hand, which for some reason I hadn't noticed on the photo (I would just prefer the two hands matched), and the oversized 12 which I think would look better as a regular bar like the other positions. I guess the case could be a little less shiny, but I still like it in black. Some reviewers have complained about breakage, but I haven't had any trouble yet (I will update if I do). I'm not looking for super accuracy, either, just fair operation on an almost daily basis. It's an eye-catching watch for not a lot of money, if it holds up. The band was long enough for me, btw. I searched on Amazon for weeks to find my husband a watch for Christmas..finally picked this one. The watch is beautiful..a real eye-catcher and is running well so far. BUT No instructions or written warranty came with the watch. It was already running when it arrived.....(a return perhaps?). The illumination is poor....the only thing you can see in the dark is the 12.Not sure what good the tachometer is when there's no stop watch button on the watch. At least we haven't found one.Dec 2015 update: It's been almost a year since purchasing this watch and it's still a beauty....is keeping time BUT.....I especially looked for a watch that illuminated in the dark......going by some revues I picked this one. Well....don't buy it for the illumination because there is none....at least this one doesn't.July 2016 update: the little button to set the day and the date doesn't work ...you can't change the date or the day of the week anymore. No illumination...now the date and day can't be adjusted.....other than its' looks and keeping time this watch is a disappointment.

Upon opening the box and seeing my Invicta watch for the first time. I was amazed by the visual quality of it. When I tried it on and seen the thick leather band that fitted my wrist perfectly with just enough holes either side. You may not think that this is a big deal. But to me comfort is every thing. So the large black face with easy to read white tritnite luminous hands and markers make reading the time in pitch black easy. Also in the box was an easy to read and understand, instructions. This was in a 30 page manual so there was a lot of setting you could choose. I suppose I should tell about the watch; Classic, precise and when it's on your wrist Impressive. I bought this watch Via Amazon.com and would recommend it to you at twice the price.

I also got this watch on Black Friday as teh $60 deal. I bought this as a daily wearer and so far it's been great. It's light, stylish and of course has invictas craftsmanship. it's by far not the top of the line invicta, but a very nice watch to wear everyday. don't have to worry about it getting scratched or anything, it seems to be very durable. i am not big on the band and the red stitching, but it is ok. it does have a nice size face, and comes off as a decent looking time piece. i look forward to putting it through the ringer! I give it 5 stars for the value mostly, it's not a refined piece by far. but it does have some style and durable at a great price!

It looks OK. The width of the band is toosmall compared to the diameter of the watch itself in my opinion.

I bought one of these for myself - got a "Black Friday" deal and couldn't pass on the price. The watch is very stylish and well built. I get compliments on it whenever I wear it so far. One friend liked it so much that I purchased a second one (not on sale by that time, but still at a good price) and gave it to him as a Christmas gift. If you want a solid, nicely-styled watch without breaking the bank, this Invicta would be a great choice. One note: Many of the Invicta watches have really huge faces. That's great for big guys, but this particular watch face, while still large, is scaled to look good on a normal-sized guy's wrist.

Thisbis my 13th Invicta and my #27 on my collection.I bought this watch but as a dum ass that I am , I did not notice how small in diameter is. Im used to have 50!Looks good and feels good.. Im not at all disappointed.

this was a gift and it was very nice however the band diameter is a tad small so if you are a big man or have large hands etc then its not for you, Id only stay with the bands with clasps from now on BUT its a great watch very pretty very well made and will purchase again just a different style.

I like it, the bold numbers are illuminated in daylight and highlighted with torch light, it's an attractive watch with days of the week in one of the dials showing days of the week. The watch also has a beautiful, thick real leather black strap on it with red cotton really standing out on both edges of the strap making the black strap really stand out. I would highly recommend this watch to people
