Q: Does this work with the 3rd Edition of the game?

Everything will fit in the box. The minis however, do not fit in their wooden display. They are larger in the 3rd Edition. Even after taking off the color discs. The character pentagons fit awkwardly as well. I personally was okay with these discrepancies. The majority fits.

Q: Does this fit Betrayal Legacy?

I'm going to disagree with the reviews that say this doesn't work with Legacy. The card holder, dice tower, and tile holder all work just fine. Legacy does have a number of additional cards, but many of these are for the campaign which can only be played once. You're going to destroy a LOT of excess cards as you play this and be left with a slightly different version of base Betrayal when you're done. If you think this product is attractive, go for it.

Q: Is the insert compatible with the 1st edition of the game? Orange box version instead of Green box version?

No it is not. Box sizes of the first and second editions are different.
