Great product. Easy to install, good quality, many colors, and gives the area it's installed in a nice look. That being said... I think the Govee app could use some redesigning. Some colors/specific shades are very hard to find and some options like automatic turn off are a bit confusing. I used the Govee desktop app and noticed the color selection there is a little easier, has more variety (for some reason?) and there's even some shades you CAN'T get on the mobile app. Overall, these are good RGB LED light strips that will do their job well, but if color variety and other more specific aspects are very important to you, I would go for RGBIC strips instead.

The Govee Smart WiFi LED Strip Lights are more frustrating than functional. While they promise a vibrant and customizable lighting experience, the reality is plagued by connectivity issues and poor app performance. The lights often disconnect from WiFi, and the app frequently crashes or fails to apply settings correctly. The adhesive on the back of the strips is weak, leading to them falling off surfaces. Additionally, the color accuracy is subpar, with some hues appearing washed out or different from what’s displayed in the app. For a product that’s supposed to enhance ambiance, the Govee LED Strip Lights create more hassle than atmosphere.

I was looking for a replacement for my other LEDs that didn’t connect to my Alexa. The connection was easy to set up, I just needed to connect to the Govee app then select the brand in the Alexa app. I wish it came with a remote so I don’t need to open the app every time I want to change the color or turn it on and off. My one big issue is the strip get a lot dimmer as it goes. As you can see in the video, it’s very noticeable if the strips touch. If you are putting it in a straight line, it should be fine. If you’re putting it around your room, you might want to think about how you feel about it before purchasing. (video shows the lights around my room, rotating through all the colors, then focused on the beginning and end of the strip to show the brightness difference)

A little too long for my 65" TV, but that was intentional as I bought the one designed for 80" TVs, since I might upgrade my TV soon and didn't want to buy these lights twice. That said, they worked for my 65" but were a touch long as I had to add a small little zig zag at one point, but again this was intentional on my part. They attach very easily, the sticky tape is strong, and the clips they give you for corners are great as well. They work exactly as advertised, they are beautiful as a backdrop, so nice I began wondering why I'd gone so long without them. They really add such a nice environment to the TV, even when it's on on, it's just so nice. And the app has SOOOO many options I can't even go through them in this review. I really only use the colors and the dim/bright adjustment. I've used the Music mode, where it strobes according to sound, and that is very sensitive and works well. The other MANY many options I've played with, but there's just too much really, to be useful to me, but it's easy to ignore the options you don't want to use on the app. Suffice it to say, what option you DO want, is there, and this light strip WORKS GREAT.

Installed these as ambient lighting in my room behind and under my bed. Cons: - These really produce very little light. I could tell from reviews and product information even before purchasing that at best, these lights can only work as ambient lighting since they are way too dim to be functional as a primary light source. (You want to check under product information how many “Light sources” (individual LED lights dots) the strip has to see how much light per foot a strip gives out). Pro tip: I had extra leftover LED strip but instead of cutting it off, I simply turned it around and installed it alongside the LED that was just installed (running two strips right alongside each other; see pic). I hoped this would increase brightness but honestly, even after this little trick, I found the difference to be marginal at best. If your wall paint has a semi gloss finish, the individual LED dots may reflect off of it like it does with mine (see pic) so keep that in mind if you plan on running these lights in a way that faces the wall. -cannot properly produce the colors white or yellow Another thing to note is that there are many colors these lights cannot properly produce. “Yellow” is more of a lime green. There is no way to for it to produce a true “white” color, neither warm nor cool. Actually, With almost every color you choose, you can see the individual colors on the LED activating (ex. “purple” looks like blue and red lights very close together instead of just looking like a true “purple” if that makes sense.) This might not bother you but for me, I don’t like to see individual greenish or blueish or reddish tinges in essentially every color. Flickering lights: It’s only been a few days and some lights are already flickering. A small section is regularly put of sync with the rest of the strip. Pros: They really don’t look great but for $15 for 50ft, with a preinstalled plug & switch, button control, app control, and Alexa/google assistant usable, it’s one of the cheapest available with all these options so I can’t complain too much. Installation was easy. Connecting it to Google Assistant was simple. The only thing I don’t like is that although Govee advertises an infinite amount of colors on its color wheel (see pic) (which isn’t really even true since it can’t even produce yellow or white) the colors available on Google Assistant are even more limited (see pic). I purchased two and decided to return one since these arent that good. I would return this one but I already put it up so, oh well.

There’s everything to love about these and nothing to dislike!! The glow from the lights is very satisfying and of course can be controlled by a simple push of a button! So many diff combinations to choose from and the intensity is up to you! I put these inside of my she-shed across the ceiling back and forth and they look fabulous!! Changes the whole vibe when I walk in! Very soothing and they look great! Super lightweight and easy to put anywhere! If you’re on the fence about these- don’t be! They’re great! The only detail I would mention is there’s no remote control- so you have to manually use the buttons on the cord- but if that’s not a game changer for your needs then these are absolutely worth the money! My space is small where I have them so I can easily reach the cord if I need to change the pattern or color. I just made sure when I hung them that the plugin of the light strip/control box would be where I usually sit! Great product!

these lights work just as well as the HUE that I’ve installed in the home in that fraction of the price. I have both but they’re very similar. Only difference is the price range I highly recommend.

At the beginning I let myself be guided by everyone's comments. Since it looks like a quality product (and it is) what really made me angry (I almost returned it) is the following. The strip is thin and laminated like any other, but the lights are too small and have no power at all. In the photo of my review you can see that I am comparing the Strip Glovee and the other one, which is a Chinese one from AliExpress. And I am surprised that the Chinese one has more power and that the LEDs are larger. Now, what really infuriated me is seeing the following: I pay more than 50 dollars to have a long LED strip since that is what I plan, everything was fine, they delivered me the “long” product BUT if you notice in the photo that I uploaded the LEDs are very far apart from each other making there be a giant space between LEDs, it looks like a SCAM! but that's because they don't upload photos of the strip as such.. Don't buy it, well it's of good quality and works with Alexa without problems but the Leda's aren't really useful for half lighting a room, for that it's better to have a Chinese one and you're here as a complement or additional decoration….

Similar to what everyone has outlined, the last 1/3 of the strip light doesnt light up or lights up in different colors when specific modes are used through the app where as certain colors are not affected. Perhaps the app is causing the issue and needs to be updated to operate the lights strips that are over a specific length??? Otherwise the light source is what was expected and provides mood lighting to a room. Whether these are on the cheaper end you should expect that when you purchase something that it actually operates as advertised, so for that I give this product a failing grade.

C’est led sont les meilleurs que je n’ai jamais acheté la plupart des autres décollait et surchauffait mais les goove son de super bonne qualité et marche très bien avec l’application. Je recommande.

I bought this item a couple weeks ago, the 50 ft one. I loved it, it has big LED lights and they are quite closed from each other which gives a great final result. Unfortunately, 50 ft was not long enough so I decided to get the exact same item, the 65.6 ft one. Bummer! This new one is completely different. The width is smaller, the LED lights are wayyy smaller and the space between the lights is way bigger. Why did I pay 20$ more to get a completely different item??! I'm sooo disappointed!
