I bought this to split the signal to TV converter box, VCR converter box & DVR. I had a 2-way splitter connected to the TV converter box & VCR converter box connected to an outside antenna on roof. Had a amplified indoor antenna connected to a old Phillips DVR because was afraid a 3-way splitter would decrease the signal too much. The DVR tuner does not have a signal level meter like the converter boxes so did not know what the signal strength was for the channels before I did timer record. When I watched recordings some of them would breakup too much at times especially when windy out or a storm. Did not see any channels breaking up when I set up timer record for a channel. I decided to try this 3-way splitter because I didn’t see too many reviews about too much signal loss. First I checked the signal strength for channels that were far away for the TV & VCR converter box with the 2-way splitter then compared to when GE 3- way signal splitter was installed when all 3 devices were connected to it. The signal strength decreased some for the TV & VCR converter box which is expected. The signal strength bar was to the end of g in good with 2-way splitter and now with 3-way splitter the bar is to just before g in good which is still strong. So far the recordings on the DVR have not broken up. The TV and VCR channels have not broken up either.
