Fantastic little dash cam
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I always wanted a dash cam for my work vehicle, and after reading the features and reviews of the Oasser Amazing-u1 I decided to give this one a try. Very impressed with the quality of the camera video feed, the availability of options to custom configure the dash cam to record, and the overall package included for the price. When I received the camera I initially had some issues, but they were completely resolved by using a higher quality Micro SD card. Even though my generic 32GB card said class 10, it was having problems being formatted by the camera and video was choppy. After going with a high speed Samsung 32gb card, the dash cam worked flawlessly. I love the G-sensor and motion detection features that are built in, definitely gives you more peace of mind both when you're driving as well as when the car is parked and unattended. Highly recommend!Check out my attached video for a sample of the video quality and more information about the unit itself!

... my first dash cam and so far I really like it. I bought this one for many reasons
This is my first dash cam and so far I really like it. I bought this one for many reasons. Price, compact size, easy flip around, and easy mount. I initially used a very basic 32gb card and the video replay was choppy as was the sound. I knew it had to be the card. I bought a 32gb high speed card and now it works great. The wide angle is very helpful with what you can see in the video. One word of caution. Go through the menus and check your settings carefully. I wish the camera could startup on it's own if there's movement in the car. Such as if someone breaks into it and the camera turns on. [only good if you have the lens turned to the interior]. I was about 1 week late getting this camera for that to do any good for me.With the 32gb card, it seems that you will get about 1 hour of video before it starts to delete the oldest one [based on video file sizes].CONS: I can't get the MPH reading to work. It's in the display as MPH 000, but so far that's the only thing I have an issue with. I also wish the camera was capable of a 64gb card. I tried one, it will not work. Keeps saying for format it.Overall I like and do recommend it for anyone. I might buy another one to keep one facing forward and one facing inside.

A wonderful camera and great customer service from Oasser
UPDATE #2 7/2/18: I raised my review back to 5 stars. I emailed Oasser customer support about the audio issue and was quickly responded to. Jenny emailed me back and forth several times offering suggestions and making sure I was satisfied. That's great customer service! Turns out, her suggestion to reformat the card seemed to fix the audio problem. Oasser stands behind this product, so that means a lot.UPDATE 6/29/18: I'm lowering my review from 5 stars to 3 stars. Two reasons. 1. Even though the audio recording is set to OFF it keeps recording audio. I REALLY don't want my private conversations in my car recorded (nor do my passengers). 2. After leaving my car parked at the airport for 10 days, the cam stopped recording automatically. I just now discovered it (after a month) and I'm very disappointed that when I really needed to view a recording that I thought I had from yesterday, I don't have it (or any from the past month). It's a shame because when these cams work, they're wonderful. I checked and there hasn't been a software/firmware update since I last updated nearly a year ago. I wish Oasser would fix this so I could give it five stars again.ORIGINAL REVIEW:I like this camera so much that after using it for about a week I just ordered a second one for my rear window. The picture is very clear, day or night. I don't like how it records audio by default (I don't need anyone hearing my private conversations!) but it's not hard to turn that off through the menu. Be sure to set the correct date and time (24 hour military format). What I really like about it is the small size. I don't even see it behind my mirror. There's just no reason to have a large screen because you will almost never need to view what you're recording on the device itself. And I love the little "chime" sound it makes when you start or turn off your car. It's just pleasant. And even though it says it's not Mac compatible, I had no problem at all connecting it to my Mac. It showed up as an external drive and I was able to view all the recordings in Quicktime.

Works fine!
Update: Have been using this camera for several days now - and it's working fine. Current playback review: seem to be doing better now, i.e. have not noticed any skips while watching video playback. I've gotten used to the tiny video, and since I rarely use it - it doesn't bother me as much. Anyway - I'd recommend this unit. Have fun!Original Review "Skips at times but workable" - November 3, 2017: First dash cam I've owned so I can't compare this to any other product. Overall it is very easy to use, but make sure you get a micro SD card (got the 32 GB one) and insert that in the slot (peel the rubber cover). I then plugged the cigarette lighter adapter to the unit and it was working. Thought it would be in the way but it's tiny enough that it doesn't block your vision.I tried it both during daytime and night time driving and it seems to work fine. During playback (USB attached on my laptop) there are times that the video skips in the middle of play. Also, depending on how you set the video recording time (2 min, 3 min, etc.), there's a lag when it transitions from one video to the next (I'm thinking this is normal). Also, this system captures audio as well (heard myself singing along the tunes I was listening to - DOH!). Audio quality is pretty good for a small unit. The screen in the middle of the unit itself is kind of useful - but is just too small in my opinion. Older folks, like me, do find it hard at times to see the video or read the Menu - but it is workable.

After finally deciding to get a dash camera and researching ...
After finally deciding to get a dash camera and researching a few I found this one to be reasonably priced and it provides the functions I need. I think the styling is sleek and does not interfere with my vision as it is tucked away almost directly behind the rear view. I would personally prefer if it had a brighter "on" indicator so that I knew at a glance it was working, in the daylight it is hard to see the flashing green button.
