Awesome HF antenna
I have talked all over the world with this antenna, wonderful product and great money for the price …easy to install and very well-built I was happy to find it on Amazon …would buy this product over and over and over again —a great MFJ product.

I have 4 of them
I'll start with the bad. 3 of 4 of them arrived with the ground stud loose. The coil box has to be opened up to get a Phillips head on to the back of the ground stud to tighten it. And, the stud is too short for anything more than a single crimp connector. It's not a hard fix at all but MFJ really should do better quality control. That out of the way, it's just a fantastic antenna. I've made contacts all over the world at 100w with them, FT8 and Phone. From central Texas; Japan, South Africa, Philippines, Argentina, India, Canada, Hungary, etc. It's' easy to put up and pretty forgiving tuning wise. SWR 1.5 or less across all bands. Most of my installs are inverted V arrangements. A couple over tree limbs, the insulation works great so there is no signal leakage into the tree. It's pretty much invisible past the choke. I've had a stealth install in my backyard for months and no one has noticed it.I just put up another one in Colorado and it's -2F today so I'll update this for severe weather performance in April. So far so good.I think I'm going to buy another one for my Texas station for some dipole diversity. All in all, it's a great value and a solid performer (if you don't mind a little tool time to tighten a loose screw). All of mine are attached to a 6' copper ground spike sunk just outside of the cable pass through. Most are driven through a 50' RG8 coax.

Good antenna.
It is working well so far. SWR a bit higher than I would like but with my tuner it's almost 1:1 on every band. I'm happy with its worldwide performance too.

MF Junk
I had awful problems with this thing. To put it lightly, it had a few screws loose. And a few missing. One of the loose screws was the ground screw. I eventually opened it up to see what was going on and the inside was the worst construction and soldering I have ever seen - not just in terms of this physical unit but of the design. This thing is not weatherproof, not even close. It contains connections soldered together via angled clips as though wires were never invented. A plate with screws would have also been a better choice - solder isn’t for electrical connections, it’s not liquid wire - it bonds the two pieces being joined through a chemical interaction. But look at the photo more. There are conductive elements floating freely where they can bounce and bridge connections that they shouldn’t. Things were clearly mounted and then soldered resulting in the plastic being melted.Honestly, it’s not even worth it for the antenna wire, because you get the worthless balun/unun with it and now YOU have to throw it away. Notice they don’t tell you any details on the performance of the balancing unit. That’s because they don’t have rigorous enough standards to really know what they’re shipping.

Solid antenna
You need a GOOD tuner if you want all the bands. With tuner, and about 30 feet up in a tree, contacts all over US, Russia, Cuba , etc. Not great for closer contacts. I bought a second one for POTA/remote.

Works great!
I got this antenna up in an inverted "V" configuration just in time to catch the November sweepstakes. Contacts made in Canada, DC, Florida, Oregon, California and Washington state. Even caught a few POTA activations.

It works!!
This antenna does exactly what MFj says it does. Tunes up on all bands from 80to 10, most frequencies I don’t even need the tuner. Would recommend!

I LIKE THIS ANTENNA
I have the medium power version, 300 watts. So far I happy with the antenna. When it arrived I heard something loose inside the transformer. I took it apart and notice one of the nuts for the SO 239 was making the noise. I tightened it down and it's good. I have a large property with a lot of trees and I used a Spiderbeam 12 meter mast also. 132' is quite a bit of wire. I put it up in about 15 minutes and hooked it up to my Comet antenna analyzer. 80, 40, 20, 17, 15, 10 were all completely acceptable SWRs without needing to trim the antenna or use a tuner. I did not check 30m. I hooked the antenna up to my Icom 7300 and checked the SWRs again. I did not see any reason to use the radio's tuner. I immediately began making contacts on 20m as expected (the most popular band). I made contacts on 40m and even on 15 meters with a POTA Activator. Of the several I contacted, most said the audio they were hearing was very good to excellent. The signal reports I was receiving was 57 or better and one person relayed hearing a very loud 59. Happy with the purchase. The reason for the 4 star is the loose nut that was jiggling around in the transformer.

Would have been nice if the assembly was completed at the factory, the female SO239 wasn't even screwed into the box holding the toroid it was like they saved 30's at the factory by not doing it 🤷♂️Besides that it worked perfectly after some assembly....3stars for not finishing the product at the factory
