Several years of string trimmer experience led me to understand that these things are best wound ahead of time, and let sit in the heat and sun a few times so that the plastic "string" becomes acclimated to the spindle. I always leave these in the plastic bag, and let them sit in the sun at least two days in a row, before using them. This way the plastic "string" does not unwind the first time you release the string trimmer, which is what was happening to me each time I wound my own and used them immediately. This is far less frustrating!

I like the fact that you get all these items for a very reasonable cost. The only thing is the cap fits but not tightly has a tendency to wear out pretty fast but as long as it works I will continue to buy.

I actually bought these for my craftsman electric weed whacker that’s been discontinued. And to my surprise it was perfect fit!!!

These are just like the originals.
