Once you get the hang of it it's pretty good. I used chocolate. Because the cavity is small, I ended up using a magnifier to make sure I didn't miss any details. I used a toothpick to dot in the areas and layered them once the first layer cooled. ...My tip would be: if you're using melting chocolate, completely fill in the cavity until it overflows a bit, go over it with a damp q-tip to wipe off the excess. Your cavity will be perfectly filled. This is mainly regarding the eyebrows of the goomba. The others you can just Trace out with the chocolate and if it goes outside of the lines just clean it up a bit with the damp q-tip or toothpick. That's the best advice I could give to help get you through this. The easiest of course was the plant pipe and the brick. Just one color.....

These molds are way too small for cake decor. They are even too small for cupcakes. At best they might work as decor to put a whole scene on a sugar cookie.

Love the idea of this. My issue came when I had to remove the pieces and they just fell apart of came out without any of the distinct features of the characters for me to add color. I want to say to make them just a little bigger so when we remove the pieces there's somewhere to grab.

The mold is great other than the fact that the characters are so dang small I’m not sure what to use them on. Was going to put them on cakesicles but they were even too small for that. I guess I should have paid attention to the size measurements online but in case you don’t, just know they are about the size of your fingernail.
