A few years ago, I purchased a brown cashmere Polo beanie. I absolutely LOVED it!! It was lost or stolen. I live in Texas. So the winters here aren’t too terrible. Maybe 30F in Feb (it’s Dec and 77F outside). But the wind chill feels like 5F and will freeze your ears. I got that beanie and though it was thin…it was extremely soft and warm. Being cashmere, it’s delicate. But once you have it…it’s difficult to go back. This beanie is wool. It doesn’t appear to be synthetic at all. The fit is snug. It fits perfectly. The color is great! The ribbing looks really nice. The thickness is quite warm. I’m not going to say it’s something that will keep you warm if you’re living where it’s freezing with strong winds. BUT, it’s perfect if the temperature is cold (minus the wind) and it looks amazing! Like a dress beanie you would wear with a black lamb skin jacket, scarf, black leather gloves. Let’s call it your “going out” beanie. Your “dress” beanie when you’re out on the town and wearing nice clothes. After much research, I cannot find the beanie I had before (well, I did in brown. The exact one I paid $40 for sells for $300 now). I guess you have a choice of comfort over fashion. But when you’re out and about…VERY few are going to know you’re wearing cashmere except for you whereas people will notice that little horse in the front. Personally, I have the horse on my jacket…I’m just going with a cashmere from someone else without the branding. You love a great sirloin steak. Until you have a ribeye. It’s just really hard to go back…Polo pony or not
