MadBite KastKing Falcon Angled Head Aluminum Fishing Pliers

These are very nice fishing pliers!I was in the market for another pair of fishing pliers and I really liked the angled head design of these pliers. The pliers look and feel like they are made of quality materials, the fit and finish are fantastic, I chose the blue ones and it has very bright anodizing, it looks great. The pliers fit my hands like a glove, they have finger grooves on the handle and the edges on both handles are chamfered all the way around as to not create any hotspots for your hands during extended use.I look forward to using these pliers once the weather cooperates, I will follow up if any pertinent information comes to light upon using these pliers.Below are some pros and cons that I've noticed on my pliers, I hope my quick review helps you make your decision if you're in the market for fishing pliers.Pros:1. Anodized aluminum, rust free design2. Very light weight - just over 2 ounces3. Very compact - just over 5 inches long and 5/16th of an inch thick, takes up little room in your tackle box/bag4. Angled head design allows you to see better inside a fish's mouth when retrieving a hook5. Replaceable carbide cutting blades6. Spring loaded open design7. High quality build and design, great looking pliersCons:1. Carbide cutting edges were mis-aligned and would not cut well, but was an easy fix loosening the allen head screws and aligning the blades2. The pliers may be a little small depending what species of fish you're using them on3. The angled head may not be long enough to reach the hook in some applications, the usable length of the pliers (length of the straight section of the lower jaw) is right at 1 and 3/16th of an inch long. I'd like to see KastKing offer a bigger fishing plier using the angled head design for larger species of fish (perhaps with a longer angled head section only)

First, like all the Kastking products I’ve bought, these pliers are VERY well made. Jaws mesh perfectly, the line cutter works great. There is no side play in the pivot and I could not cause the handles to flex - squeezing as hard as I could (I am 5’11” and 210lbs.) The angled jaws grip firmly and make it easier to grasp a hook near the bend so it’s easier to remove.They are smaller than I expected. The actual handle length is 3.5" and because of the angled jaws, the reach is shorter putting your finger closer to the fish’s mouth. I would hesitate to use these for salt water fish with teeth (snappers, groupers, etc) but they should be great for trout and bass and they will take up less room in my fishing vest. Another concern is that because of the short grips, it’s a little difficult to get a good grip with big hands – my fingers slide around a little. Adding some rubber grips might help as with my other Kastking pliers. The braid cutter cuts very cleanly but because of the angled head, left-handed folks need to turn the pliers over to access the cutter.

KastKing quality product. Very well made and light weight design. Will not rust. Jaws align perfectly unlike some I have bought before. I like the handle holes for different options to tether to vest or boat. Nice cutter under the pivot. The angled head works nicely and gives a better angle while holding lures, line or fish. Would recommend product and seller.

Great Price, super handy, compact! Doesn’t take up a ton of space in my tackle bag or on my kayak!Included case and tether super +!!!!!!

Good, but way smaller than I expected...panfish and fresh trout at best....no good for saltwater...my hand barely fits around...but its made solid

These pliers feel like they are quality made definitely worth what they're asking for now they could use some rubber ization on the handles and I would like to see these pliers in a bigger size they are maybe five inches but there small fit in your pocket you can take them everywhere with you overall a quality product

This device works but is smaller than I expected, but the price was good so I will keep them as a backup.I do think the split ring tip is suspect to chip or break.
