Great product
Works great with DJI Phantom 1. Easy to set up and easy to fly with.

HUD info out of focus
Hard to see all the HUD info. Probably might want to order the corrective lense package too. Signal cuts in and out as well.

Horrible Video Quality, Needs $100+ in more purchases and will still be horrible
You need to go out and buy things still to get it to work, the kit is not what it makes it seem. Should have read comments first. Video quality is horrible, it is nothing like what you see on YouTube, it is only cool for about 15 minutes. If exposed to any light the lens fry and you have to ship them off it be fixed and pay for it. 2 seconds of sunlight, or a bright light in your home, or a computer screen is enough according to their tech support. Wonder why they don't mention that in their ads? Wait until they get the technology right, this is beta at best. Worst Amazon purchase I ever made without a doubt. The (manufacturer's) service immediately blames you when tell them about problems you have with them. It can't be their product, it is perfect even though they admit they exaggerated video quality, the problem is you etc..

Fat Shark Predator
This is the first (and only...so far) FPV unit I've ever tried, but it's clearly an entry level unit that leaves me wanting more.I thought this would be plug and play for my Phantom 2 and the GoPro, but getting it up and running was a test of patience (and extra money, of course). Just be aware that you're going to spend more on chargers, antennas, and cables if you want to hook your GoPro up which is probably something you're going to want to do since the camera that comes with the kit isn't going to excite you much. Also, if you're new to the hobby like I was, be aware that documentation for all of this is lacking, and what you actually can find assumes that you already know what you're doing. It's all part of the learning experience though, so I didn't mind too much and it's fairly satisfying when you finally get it going. You're also definitely going to want to grab an iOSD Mini, but of course this adds another layer of installation pain trying in trying to find cables that work.Anyway, after getting my Predator and discovering I needed all this extra gear, it took a month or so until I was finally up in the air and FPVing and...it wasn't great. I guess I really wasn't expecting much at this price point (even as a noob, I figured that anything like this under $400 wouldn't be top of the line), but it was surprisingly unexciting. The video is low resolution and the output is uneven. The video brightens and darkens and then brightens again, and when I say the unit is Line OF Sight, you'd better believe it. If you get behind a tree, you'll find you're flying blind and just forget about flying around your neighborhood at street level. Definitely not going to happen unless your neighborhood has no houses and is a flat, wide-open field. I upgraded antennas a couple of times in an attempt to help it out in this regard and finally found something that worked better, but it's still not great.Lastly, the range of this kit in the product description is 1km and I find that to be optimistic. The most I can get without being overwhelmed by static is 300 yards or so. At that range, of course you've already lost physical sight of your Phantom and trying to bring it back to you can be a panicky experience especially since, owing to the super low video resolution, you likely only have a very general idea of where your copter was when you lost the video link.Aside from the video quality issues, the gear seems to be of high quality. The goggles are well built and the output board seems solid. I never found a way to hook up the power filter (the cable I eventually ended up buying has a filter built in), but I'm assuming it works as intended. In keeping with the hack-it, jury-rig spirit of the hobby, there's not a place to mount the battery pack for the goggles. I ended up velcroing the (large) pack to the top of the goggles. It looks silly, but I haven't a clue how else you'd do it.Maybe I'm a victim of unreasonable expectations, but I can't give it more than two stars. When everything is running well, it's a neat experience, but it just doesn't run well often enough to be useful. I've never tried anything better (read: more expensive) and I've never tried someone else's Predator to see if maybe my issues can be attributed to operator error, so I have nothing else to judge it against. In the end, the experience I've gained and the things I've learned have been worth the money though. I definitely know my way around the Phantom now and when I sell this kit and upgrade, it will be a piece of cake getting up and running.

FatShark goggles are AMAZING!
This was easy to install on a home built Quad. I was also able to transfer my Boscam FPV unit to my experimental frame and use the video IN port on the goggles to display the image being sent from it. If you consider that the camera in the FS kit is meant to deliver instant video feed to your eyes, and not a cinema experience for display in a theatre, they do exactly what they are designed to do. As for range, I can get 170 yards out of the stock antenna, but more than 1/4 mile from a spiral (directional) antenna on the goggles (ie Unicorn) and an omnidirectional antenna on the FS transmitter. I could go further, but then you are out of your spotter's LOS required by the FAA. I also flew my experimental frame using the GoPro for the camera and had much higher resolution in the goggles, with no detectable delay through the Boscam unit. I have purchased a cable to connect the GoPro directly to the FS transmitter, and expect the same image quality and transmission speed.

I just didn't like the narrow FOV so I returned them
The goggles worked and everything came as advertised, I just didn't like the narrow FOV so I returned them.

Range is not great with the included antennas
The quality surprised me for the price. Range is not great with the included antennas. It should be _much_ better with circularly polarized antennas, but those are in the mail. Why they even bother to ship with the antennas they do is beyond me. It wouldn't really affect price.
