This HAS to be the best performing hose reel on the market. 5 Stars all day
AWESOME hose reel. Instructions/YouTube instructional video do NOT depict the difficulty in installing the hose. I used Flexzilla 3/8's hose. Perhaps it was the cumbersome 100' length I was dealing with, but the way they suggest you install the hose in the video is unrealistic. Threading the hose on will "pre-load your hose with twist that will need to be taken out before winding it on the reel. On a 100' roll this WILL be a PITA to take out. Also, a zip-tie placed at the end of the anti-kink spring is a must, otherwise the spring WILL migrate away from the coupling. Also, just as other reviews have stated, you'll need some adapters to get everything to work. Not unexpected at all so I can't dock the product for any points here. Like I said, I have 100' of 3/8's Flexzilla hose on mine. It could EASILY take another 50'. The brass swivel surprisingly doesn't leak AT ALL. The hose comes off smoothly and controlled, and with some hand guidance goes back on neatly. Even with these minor issues, I'd buy it again in a second.

High Quality and Solid.
High quality...very solidly built. Mounts easily with the included hardware ...great for larger lengths of hose....Solid air connections...no leaks. Reccommended.

Well made, works well, I'm pleased. I do recommend it.
The reel is of good quality steel, it handled the 3/8" x 100' rubber hose very easy. I custom made a steel bracket to angle it on a 45 degree angle for ease of use, attached it to the reel with no issue and works great. Very easy to roll hose off of it and easy to wind it up on the reel as well. I do recommend it.

Good quality construction
Well built. Used mine for an air hose and works better than expected. I would buy this again.

Very Good Product...just need a couple of things!
This is a very inexpensive reel to help store my air hose. My on;y complaint is that there should be a couple items that should come with it. The spring which is to prevent kinking is the wrong size - it doesn't go over a 3/8" air hose. You need to buy a Compression Spring 7/8" x 4" that would go over a 3/8" air hose - specifically the air hose fitting at the end of the air hose. What is provided goes over the hose only but if you can't get it to go over the fittings at the end, what good is it?! There is also a need to at least provide a elbow from the lower fitting to allow some versatility in how and where you install the reel. Outside of making 2 trips to the hardware store, the reel works great!

Well-made, very handy!
I bought these two air hose reels (50' and 100') for extension hoses that were forever getting dumped on the garage floor. They were simple to assemble, and simple to mount to plywood sheets that I can carry or hang from a peg. I also put 3' swivel pigtails on the air inlet to make them a little easier to gang. Since I'm old and they are a little heavy with the hose on them, I may put hooks on the plywood to hang them on a dolly when I move them around. The plywood I used is Baltic birch, and I put a couple coats of spar varnish on that after I took the picture. It has been a few days since I put these together, but as I recall, they both have all 3/8" fittings. It doesn't really matter. I've gotten a good laugh out of all the shocked reviews of competing products with 1/4" fittings. The pressure drop across a short quarter-inch fitting is totally miniscule compared to the drop along a 3/8" hose, even at reasonably high flow rates, so it makes no practical difference. And most prosumer air tools are 1/4" anyhow.

Good reel, but the swivel fitting is not brass
I've purchased two of these so far. The first one lasted about 3.5 years of casual homeowner use before the swivel fitting wore out and started to leak. I removed the fitting and learned that it was not brass as the listing showed, but was in fact aluminum. I was going to try and find a brass replacement and I found a new brass fitting would cost approximately $50 which was approaching the cost of another unit, so I just bought another reel which at the time was selling for $47. I figured I'd like to repair the old unit and ask why the units I purchased said the swivel fitting was brass, so I contacted the seller to confirm the size of the fitting and ask about the brass callout. The seller was very responsive and helpful and I learned that the note about the fitting being brass was an error, and that the fitting is actually copper plated aluminum. The manufacturer said that the fitting was "specific to this unit", so they could not tell me the size for a replacement. The seller offered to send me a replacement fitting, which I think was nice, and they have since updated the listing to remove the note about the swivel being brass. Props to the seller for being so responsive, helpful and addressing the listing error so quickly. If you buy the unit, know that at the time of this review, the fitting is aluminum, not brass. Whether that's good or bad, I'm not sure. Brass seems to be the most common material for air fittings, and the fitting supposedly being brass was one of the reasons I purchased this reel. Hopefully the second unit will last longer than the first.
