Very good part! Fixed my problem!
This part saved me! I drive a 1996 Chevrolet Impala SS and there was this squeaking noise coming from under the hood. I thought it was my serpentine belt so I sprayed it with Prestone belt dressing and it seem to work some but the noise always came back. I traced the source of the squeaking to the idler pulley and tried to spray it with royal purple. It worked a little but squeak came back. So I took off the idler pulley and tried to grease it and put it back. It didn't work. So I kept taking the pulley apart and gave up after putting it back wrong (loose nut for pulley) and it got damaged. I decided to compare prices with my local stores and amazon. Amazon had my part in stock and at a good price so I quickly ordered it. They also had a different brand part but I went with ac delco because I heard its close to stock oem parts. When The part came in I quickly installed it and problem solved! No more squeaking! The part fit right in perfectly! Very easy fix! I am very happy now. I heard this part needs to be changed often because it wears out. My old part said it was made in Japan. If you have squeaking buy this quality part. I have about 77K miles on my car.

this AC DELCO product made in Canada did not last long 1 year ....
96 Impala SS . 81,000 miles so now after 2 years almost and 4,000 miles this ac delco part has failed. the tension-er assy is binding. after the vehicle sits a few days when starting the tension-er binds and then makes a loud growl sound. I replaced this and now it is fixed. took me about 1 year trying to figure it out and with a one year warranty not a good deal only 4,000 miles on it.. tested the new tension-er no binding .. do not buy , this will not last long..

OEM! 👌👍
Flawless fitment ..... if you're having issues with power steering... (if it's not the pump) .... it's this ... a bad tensioner replicates a bad pump with seizing of the steering wheel when turning it open-throttle...(1996 IMPALA SS)

It was the right part... Just a bad one!
Received part in time. The part was protected correctly by the Amazon shipper. The manufacturer just package a refurbished part that wasn't new or up to specs. The tensioner wheel was scratched and the bearings were shot. This one made more noise than the one I was replacing. Put a NoNo zone tensioner on and I'm as quiet as a church house mouse.94 Lt1 Roadmaster

Somehow a downgrade form Original
I bought this to replace a ticking tensioner. The tick is gone and works fine. However, the bearing used is not of great quality and the mounting of the bearing inside the roller wheel, actually has some clearance, unlike the original wheel which still has it's bearing solidly fit in place after 20 years of working...

For the Price, AC beats all competition
These worked perfect on the LT1 engine, installation was quick and easy without any worry. The price was also a lot cheaper then I had found with other companies. Just so everyone remembers it is for a LT1 engine. these neither came with the Camaro Or Firebird Serious from 95-97 I believe so double check before you buy! GOOD PRODUCT
