Whether these are the right calipers for you depends largely on exactly how much precision you require. For the vast majority of people, I think this is going to be an excellent product and a good value for the money. Immediately upon receiving mine, I tested it against some other calipers I own and know to be accurate. I found this one performed exactly as described, yielding results within +/- 0.01 mm. For me, that's more than precise enough. If you require more precision than that, this one won't work for you (just be aware you'll likely pay a little more for the extra precision). The construction seems quite sturdy and the calipers are easy to use. Toggling between metric and imperial units is as easy as pushing a button, and the tightening knob to hold a measurement in place turns easily in both directions and has no problem locking everything in place. I also quite like that this set comes with a hard plastic carrying case (fairly common for these products) as well as three extra batteries in addition to the one that came already installed, so you should be good to go for quite a long time before you might need to purchase anything else for it. The one thing I didn't like is that the digital display turns on not only when you press the on/off button but also when you move the calipers. While this could be advantageous, particularly if you find yourself working one-handed sometimes, it's just a little too sensitive and likes to turn itself on even when I don't necessarily want it to. That's not enough to be a severe problem, but it will cause the battery to run down a bit faster than it ought. Overall, though, I have no problem recommending this product. For the vast majority of people and uses, this will easily get the job done.

Battery cover failures & no info on how to order another battery cover & in reviews shows this a KNOWN ISSUE & GAILURE,HOW CANINGET A REPLACEMENT BATTERY COVER ?
